For the uninitiated: The Contract is a fonking great House/Wilson friendship story. Here is the teaser...

Agony and wood were all he was aware of. He imagined the pain throbbing through his body was making the wooden floorboards vibrate. He laughed silently and hysterically: He was a human piano of pain. House the human piano of pain. 

That gives you an idea doesn't it? It ain't exactly pretty. But it apparently makes all sorts of wonderful people pick up their pens and start writing. So here is a list of all the related stories.


Companion piece one: Lifeline http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2896318/1/ by the lovely Troopercam. This basically a side by side account of what happens, fills in bits here and there and takes the story a bit further on time wise. Whacking involved.

Companion piece two: http://one-the-larch.livejournal.com/4113.html#cutid1 by the lovely One The Larch. This is a short piece from the perspective of the fellows during the early days of The Contract. Poeia compatible (that means no nasty whacking stuff).

Companion piece three: Exigencies http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3388312/1/ by the lovely Priority. House has to get better at some point. Priority picks up after 'the milkshake thang' and explores House as he goes back to work. Looks back on the whacking, but quite safe.

Companion piece four (which is really a companion piece to companion piece three: Recovery http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3428758/1/ by the lovely wih. This one is set five months after Exigencies and in which House gets betterer and betterer. Mentions of past whacking, but still quite up beat.


Then there's this little number: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2798672/1/ That one's not very good. I don't like it at all. Substanded writing and riddled with typos. Maybe one day there will be hope for this writer. Lots of implied whacking (and some real time whacking).
