I’m in a rather good mood today, although I have to admit I miss a certain somebody… It’s Jordan if you didn’t guess.

I realized yesterday that I am really really bad at mail. I hadn’t gone through my snail mail in like three weeks until yesterday. Needless to say, there were several parcels that needed my immediate attention. I have been trying to get all my bills on automatic draft, but apparently I missed a few. Whoops.

Actually my entire office is a wreck; it looks like a tornado ripped through it. Used to, it was messy, but it was at least composed of messy piles. Now, there is just crap everywhere and I couldn’t find something if I wanted to – which I don’t. I guess “organize my office” should be on my list of things to do… but in this case, I think I will continue to bask in procrastination.

So I’m thinking about starting to go to local benefits and such. They seems like they could be a lot of fun, plus they are for a good cause. There is this one tonight that I am considering. A few friends of mine that I know will be there, and it seems like a good way to meet new… classier types of people. The average bar and club seen gets rather old, and it’s rare that you ever find something intelligent to speak with in one. I’ll have to see how I feel tonight; I’m pretty tired from an intense workout this morning.

I have had a few uncomfortable conversations lately. I love those kinds of conversations, because people are funny when they are uncomfortable. When people are uncomfortable they act so different, myself included in generalization. But you really learn a about a person from how they handle intense or uncomfortable situations. Do they freak out? Do they get defensive? Or are they calm, collect and responsive? It matters – to me it does.

This morning the Birmingham News came to my gym and took pictures of me. Well, not of me personally, but a group of us guys working out. We had to pose for it, which was pretty funny. I thought about flexing, but decided against it – it’s too bad, they would probably sell more papers if I did. At any rate, the picture is going to be in Wednesday’s edition… I have no idea what the story is on.

Jordan just called me and she is really stressed out about something at work. I think we should go to a firing range and squeeze off a few. That’s a great stress reliever I here. She needs it.

“Move out of your comfort zone. You can only grow if you are willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable when you try something new.”
