The makers of the fraudulent program "XP Security Center" (as opposed to the real Windows XP's security center) sure went out of their way to fool people. And it's pretty disgusting, really, once you think about what they've done. First of all, XP Security Center drops fake threats into your computer and then "discovers" them in its security scan. Someone put a lot of time and effort into the screens and even the Windows-like shield icon. So it operates on fake "authority". It then tells you that your computer has threats and that you should buy its complete version to take care of you. Now it is using a backdrop of lies to try and push your fear buttons. You should be afraid--afraid of XP Security Center! Use some real anti-virus software (I'm partial to Spyzooka) to take care of yourself! |
