I drive a car. On the bright side, since moving to a cool neighborhood, I use walking as my main form of transportation and only drive about two or three times a week typically.
It was my tentative intention to switch to public transportation, but for the past several years my dad has been offering to buy me a new car, so I finally let him do it. He's obsessed with cars and has gotten both my siblings new cars since he inherited money, and I knew he enjoys shopping for cars. True, my old car kept having problems and turned out to be worht only about $200.
I also still eat some dairy products, though not nearly as often as I used to (I've drastically cut back on cheese, I use soymilk, and I often eat vegan food). Methane from animal farming causes more greenhouse gases than driving a car. So it's best to not only not eat meat, but also not eat dairy products, since that to some degree encourages the population of such animals as cows, whose entire lifespan is controlled by humans. In nature, there wouldn't be nearly as many cows. |
