Oh, my.  What a weekend I've had and it's not even over yet.

Did the dinner and games thing with the "Fam" and Big D on Friday night, then left with Big D to spend the night at his place. Unfortunately, as we were leaving, we discovered that his muffler decided that it no longer wanted to be a part of his car.  So I got to lay down in the driveway and take it the rest of the way off so we could drive home. Which lead to us getting up early (way early! 5:30!!) on Saturday to take the car in to get the muffler replaced. At least he managed to wake me up very nicely to make up for the early hour and lack of sleep.  :) We spent the rest of the day napping, talking and watching TV.  I also spent last night over there, despite actually planning on coming home.  I feel incredibly guilty for leaving Aunt F to watch the dogs, but I know she doesn't mind. Still doesn't help.  And I miss my puppies when I'm not home.

So after getting home today, I spent a bit more than an hour fixing Big Ugly.  Big Ugly RIDES AGAIN!!  All fixed, and better than original.  Took it out for a ride, about 40 miles and enjoyed the beautiful day.  Nasty, strong winds today, though, which threatened to blow me off the bike more than once.   I did manage to get my bandanna blown off my head, but I was able to turn around and recover it. :P

Emotionally, it has been a pretty interesting couple of days.  The dreaded, four-letter "L" word was said....and he said it first, which just about made me fall over.  But as hard as he thinks about things, at least I know he really means it before he says it.  And I do. I have for a little while now.  I was enjoying myself over at his place so much this weekend, and the only thing to mar it was missing my dogs.

So right now I'm sitting in my towel after my shower, trying to put my thoughts in order by writing this post.  I'm looking forward to the concert tonight with my step-cousin, but I am going to be very very tired tonight.  My new hours at work start tomorrow and I have to be there at 7:30.  I like those hours better, should be an easier commute.  And now that I have Big Ugly running again, I should enjoy it more.

I'm planning on going to the city next weekend to see Hellboy 2 with thehappyemo, so that should be fun.  And I'm making plans to finally meet nekouken sometime soon, too.  puppie should be happy about that, to have 2 of her LJ friends see if they can be rl friends as well :)  It'd be nice to have a friend here in Elgin.

Ok, I better finish getting dressed!
