*cries* I left Verizon to switch to Alltel, and now I'm being taken over by them!!! Also, I'd SO get a Blackberry or iPhone, or something similar, but it would put me on a different rate plan, and right now Carl and I share a plan.  If I switch, either we'd BOTH have to get new phones and switch, or we'd be on separate plans.  Both options are more money by far, and not feasible.  I can live with...

Dear god, I just found out the IC premise for SERE for Friday and Saturday night! Thursday is a non-issue, because I'll be playing NPC's all night and my costumes are already chosen.  But Friday night is "Come as your favorite villain" and I need a good villain that I can go as, for Giuliana.  And Saturday is a Broadway-themed ball, with the Broadway productions of  Jekyll & Hyde, Wicked, Sweeney...

For those of you who are attending the crossvenue charity ball on Thursday night of SERE, be prepared.  I am bringing some items to be auctioned off for charity, and the only hint I'm giving is that they are from where I work, and they are *awesome*. :D

I know I've been MIA lately, and I didn't want people to worry, so here's why: -lots of stuff going on at work -spent a lot of time with Carl over the weekend -my mom's about to have a lumpectomy on Thursday, and I'm primary if something "bad" happens, plus Carl and I will be taking care of her if she needs help afterwards

So, since I work at a wine bar, OBVIOUSLY I was going to be working on Valentine's Day, so Carl and I celebrated early.  But enough on details for that... ;) Carl hung out at my work last night, ended up helping fix an electrical wire when we lost power suddenly to the lights above the bar/kitchen area, and so the owners gave him free food and beer all night. Yeah... he tricked one of the other servers...

The Shawnee ghost stands in the center of the small room, a facade of patience on his face, but it is obvious that he is anything but.  As soon as the door closes behind her, Giuliana asks the ghost, "What was promised to you that was not done?" Giuliana turns her head slightly, casting a charming smile at the Alder Duke next to her and saying quietly, "I believe I am going to get a glass of Lacrima at the bar, would you like one as well?" Justin Maxwell nods, "Yes... please.  I am finding the narcissism tonight.... tiring."   She smiles again in response, agreeing with his opinion of their earlier confrontation with a visiting Carthian...

So, we did dinner and a movie last night for my birthday, since we went to Melting Pot on Sunday.  I was helping Carl finish dinner prep last night, and accidentally burned myself on really hot steam from a boiling kettle, RIGHT on the spot where my wedding ring is.  How the heck I managed to burn specifically THAT spot and none of the surrounding fingers, I have no clue.  Sadly, I am left handed...
