So... I got my diploma today.

It came in the mail. It's a nice white piece of paper that says Beloit College says I've got a degree. Woohoo! time to have a graduation party!! Oh, and Batman tonight. Awesome. Ledger's Joker is way scary. One thing about the movie though: A friend had pointed out that it seemed to be more a movie about people whose connection to each other was Batman, rather than a movie about Batman. I would tend...

the Mummy

Ok, I like Maria Bello. She's really talented, and not exactly hard to look at either. I'm sure she's plenty good enough to play Evie if she'd been cast in the role originally. It would be a different character but I'm sure I'd love her just as much. But the Mummy without Rachel Weisz now? That's like saying you're going to have a Batman movie without an Alfred. Or an Indiana Jones movie without Harrison...

Ok, so I'm still here... somewhere...

I know I haven't posted much of substance recently. To be honest, I really haven't felt like writing about the things that are going on in my life right now, even though this is probably the best way to keep those of you in the loop who care to be. So here's a quick summary since my last update: * My double bachelors in Studio Art and Classical Philology is dated August 31, 2008. MSOE's term ended...

There was a fire across the street

City Hall, across the street from where I work, was on fire today. It was just a little fire, but it was City Hall so it was a big deal. No one was hurt. Tony was in town looking at apartments, sitting downstairs in the park waiting for me to be done with work and called to tell me at the time. We hear sirens all the time so we were all pretty much ignoring it. More to the point, he got decent pictures...

So done!

As of 4 pm today I am officially done with my undergrad degree. Finished my last final at 3:48pm I'm pretty sure I didn't get an A. But I think I passed. And that's all I need to finish to my double bachelors A little administrivia to transfer the credits, probably some money and a short wait for the piece of paper, but THE WORK IS DONE!

where's my damn software?

So I bought Photoshop CS2, unopened, with its own unused serial number. I bought this several weeks ago via Amazon, from the used marketplace. Compared to the price of new CS3, it was not much, but it was still a few hundred dollars. The shipping estimate ended today. Nothing. No response from the seller to my email inquiry about when it was sent (or if it's been sent even). Nothing. I didn't...
