The husband's paternal family resides in a lil village about 30 minutes out of Melaka.   Whenever we used to come back from Melbourne for visits, we would make a short trip into the kampung to visit the folks in there.   There is not much to do there, other than hanging around in the big old style wooden house. One that is quite similar to the one that I used to grow up in. So it brings back...

I enjoy watching "Jon and Kate Plus Eight" on cable.   Kate Gosselin has got to be one of the more organized mommies that I have ever seen in my life. And raising 8 kids to be as well behaved as they can be, is an amazing act, in my opinion. That woman deserves an award for the work that she does. There is a lil bit of serenity on weekday arvos.   With the weekend crowds back in their offices, it is a really lovely experience sitting at a cafe to just watch the world go by and not be caught up by the hustle and bustle of daily life.   And Dempsey is one of our favorite places to visit with the kids.   Kayden loves going to the cheese room at Jones the Grocer whilst I like the spacious...

So we are three weeks and a lil bit into the move... And it is safe to say that things are starting to look a lil brighter on this side of the fence. The crazy indulgence of local food has started to ease down a lil. We've been cutting down on the visits to town as the excitement slides. I think our lil Aussie accent has tone down a bit (but I'm not 100 percent on that). And we've found good...

GOAL!! I must admit that every time Thursday swing by... my heart gets a lil excited about the weekend. The first thing that pops up, God bless the shopper in me, is where can I go to shop? The endless quest to find another item to add to my already bursting closet. :) But the tale always ends up being told ohsodifferently . How do you say no to memories like these ? ...

Having a land mortgage is a serious pain in the bum. You pay for water that you have not used. And council fees for services that are not utilised. Grr… the number of things I can buy with that money! That said, we are almost ready to commence building. So all is in good time, cause we are almost ready to move home. It's just about right, I'd say.

I am on a mission to lose a few pounds. See I never fret about my weight before… If I feel pudgey I'd eat less but most days I dun really care, la. Afterall, organic eating has served my quite well. I tend to be around the same region on the weighing scale. UNTIL I bought a pair of jeans ONE SIZE TOO SMALL. (Should've listened to the website) And I am too lazyarse to send it back to exchange...

It is freeeeezing in Melbourne today. I think we hit 7 degrees at some point today. We went to the farmer's market this morning and I hurriedly ran through most of the stores to buy stuff cause my fingers were feelin' a lil icy. I took the boys to see Elmo in Myer this arvo. But they were more interested in the Big Red Car and Thomas the Tank Engine. Oh well, I guess bigger is not always better...
