Blog meta thoughts, machine tagging
Here's why I want to write an auto tagging script or code of some sort, with some thoughts on how to approach it. I got kind of obsessed last night exporting all my http://badgerbag.typepad.com stuff off typepad and into wordpress that is more under my control. almost 5000 posts flew into wordpress. That was shocking. I thought I might import the public entries from here into the same wordpress...

walking sucks today
Walking is hard today. Also touching anything at all with my hands. My joints feel like ... marbles caught in gears. All knobby. Too close to the surface. Typed all day anyway. Opening doors, leaning on cane, holding steering wheel. Hurts! Right leg collapsing some. my feet on both sides are doing sort of a weird thing. Mostly on the right, as always. I had the feeling in the morning I should be... Tags: pain walking

Rebecca's War!
OMG! A few days ago I was thinking of this book that I loved when I was little -- Rebecca's War -- about a teenage girl left to be the head of her household in Philadelphia when the British invade the city. I remember how she was brave and resourceful. It was a good thing to fall asleep to, to pretend to be in her situation, carrying supplies to the prisoners and evading the soldiers on ice skates... When Nancy Drew rocks and doesn't
The other night I needed the purest trash to fall asleep and stole Moomin's book from his backpack: "The Bungalow Mystery" which is volume 3 of the Nancy Drew series. When I was little I probably read this book 100 times as I had the first 4 in the series. Any others consumed were library books. I was surprised at how good it was. It was fast paced, had a lot of action, and nothing too terribly stupid...

dream of walking
my dream last night: I was living in chicago somewhere a few blocks from my sister in a very dusty industrial neighborhood near some highways. to get in and out of my house i had to climb up sort of like a rock climber, the stairs were so steep and the way narrow enough that I had to turn sideways and cling to the rain pipe. i realized my sister's cat, V'ger, had followed me home and i picked her up...
