Playing with the new camera

I bought a second camera lens (cheap Tamron AF 70-300mm) and tried to improve my photos (while taking them in manual mode - and afterwards with the demo-versions of DxO and Lightroom). Here are some results: 300mm without optical stabilizer - not bad for a cloudy day.

I'm in Wunsiedel right now - at my parents house. My dad is celebrating his 70th birthday this week. We went hiking to a small event of the local wood-industry yesterday. There were lots of big machines on display and some artists showed what they can do with chainsaws.

I'm a bit late with my con-report. Eurofurence was mostly a fun time for me, but several people seemed to have bad luck with their health this year. I got a mild cold saturday evening - just a sore throat. That's why I wasn't fursuiting sunday and didn't talk much (which probably no one noticed since I'm not very talkative anyway).
