Easter Sunday we thought about what to have for dinner, and Boomer made a stew that was good, just like mom's, chicken and lots of vegetables. We ate our fill, but there was a lot left, and that got put in the freezer for later.

That night we decided to go to Wal-Mart for some bread, and look at computer microphones so that Boomer could do Gizmoz too. Yes.. it was closed, but we thought it might be. Hob got a Sam's cola from a machine outside anyway.

We had seen some trash out on the way down, it was Scott Twp's trash day, so we decided to check it. On Ryan Drive someone had put out a whole dining room set, a table with a glass top that was as thick as a sheet of plywood, and four chairs, plus the table base. There was also a student desk and chair. We took it all home, and oh boy! Almost everything was too big to fit in to any hole in the car, the doors or trunk, and we had only one bungee tie that Hobnose had found a few days before.

The desk had to be strapped across the open back of the trunk, and the chairs were half way in and strapped, in separate trips. The glass was the hardest part, it had to go in the back seat, but it was too long for the doors to be closed. The right door was open a few inches, but the left door had to stay all of the way open on the ride home.

Luckily things were just right for trashing that night, being that it was Easter, there not many other cars on the road at all so we could drive slow, no one was out, and the treasures were only about two miles away. We laughed about what the people at that house would have thought the next day when they woke up, since all we left was a couple of trash bags and a lamp without a socket.

Monday we got some Easter candy, and Boomer got a Clifford music CD at Dollar General. We cleaned up some of the stuff from yesterday, and Hob was barking that if you come to live in Pittsburgh, you can furnish your whole house from just what people throw away. Everyone was at Wal-woof-Mart too, they can't have their favorite store closed for an evening without withdrawal.. :)

Tuesday trash night, let's see if we can throw as much away as we brought in, let's recycle!
