Letter to LJ. Suggestions for community management

... is, and has been, its hybrid nature that comes with having blogs and communities. I think that refining the controls users have over their communities will increase the appeal of LiveJournal, as well as decrease the long term load on the LJ employees who handle cases involving the communities. News and Plagues....what a combo!

I mentioned a while back about a plea by rural Alaskans for help, it seems now that CNN has finally gotten the message, as well, and have posted an article about it. They're still struggling, and due to a statute in Alaskan law, the state government can't declare a state of emergency and, therefore, can't send out help organizations, such as the Alaskan Red Cross.
