11:10pm: Righto, Mother's Day this Sunday, I'm having breakfast with Mum and M, so I'll have to get up early for that. Also have to get up early tomorrow because we're going to visit Grandma and Grandad's grave and then go have brunch. Not sure if my little bro is coming with us for that though...

I also got up early today because to get to my pyschiatrist appointment, all is going well at the moment, so it'll be 2 months 'til I go back, fingers crossed!

Work resumes Monday! Which no doubt is for the best, it'll certainly cut back on my RPing! But eh, you gotta have money!

After seeing the Pyschiatrist I went to work, where my boss roped me into doing some typing (not to worry - I get extra money for it!) and then I served the birthday cupcakes! They were a great success.

Used a bit too much food colouring by accident, so instead of looking marabled, they look massacred, LOL!

And that's strawberry frozen yogurt and strawberries, yummy!
After that shopping with Mum! Clothes are so damn expensive, I mean I look like a dag, but I didn't pay $200 to get the look!

But I found a nice vest thing to wear, it's green, I was tempted to get an orange one so I could pretend to be Marty McFly, but nah. Those puffy vests are all the rage though! Everyone wears 'em young, old, whatever.

After that I had to go get my eyebrows and upper lip waxed, oh the trauma's of been a girl with Maltese genes.

And that's about all I got to say for real life, LOL.

Four For Friday

Q1 - Church and Torture: The more often Americans go to church, the more likely they are to support the torture of suspected terrorists, according to a new survey. More than half of people who attend church services at least once a week -- 54 percent -- told the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life the use of torture against suspected terrorists is "often" or "sometimes" justified. Only 42 percent of people who "seldom or never" go to church services agreed. Why do you think people who attend church services are more likely than those who do not to approve of torturing suspected terrorists?

OMG?! WTF? BBQ! I don't know how anyone can support torture! Because think about it, if you were being tortured you'd say anything to make it stop! Probably claim to be God himself. I'm disturbed by these figures! That's seiously fucked up man.

Q2 - Expeditions: This past Tuesday marked the 61st anniversary of a six-person expedition that sailed from Peru aboard a wooden raft on a 101-day journey across the Pacific Ocean to Polynesia. If you could go back in time and participate in any previous expedition, in what expedition would you like to participate? If nothing from the past interests you, how about something in the future?

Probably none of them because back then there was scurvy, seasickness, all sorts of diseases and whatnot. I'd like to go to the future and be in an expedition to fly past Saturn, my favourite planet. Although we'd have to go a lot faster...

Q3 - Calming Influence: When it comes to testifying in court there can be a lot of stress and anxiety in getting up on the witness stand. However, imagine how difficult it is for kids. Now, thanks to a trained facility dog named Dory, children testifying in sexual abuse and physical assault cases in San Diego, Calif., have a friendly advocate by their sides when taking the witness stand. According to court judges and prosecutors, having Dory the dog available to children before, during, and after testifying in open court is a calming influence in a traumatic time. If you were facing a difficult situation, do you think having a dog by your side would help? If not a dog, what would you like to have with you?

Well that's nice! Poor kiddies...I can't imagine having a kid in open court though! I mean, how much of a heartless arsehole would you have to be to cross-exam them?!
Dunno if I'd feel better with a dog by my side, I'd probably want my mother, LOL!

Q4 - Social Distancing: News this week of a human-borne "swine" flu outbreak has given rise to targeted social distancing. Never heard of "social distancing" before? Me either. Apparently, it refers to deliberate steps taken by governments, communities, or businesses to mitigate the spread of potentially pandemic influenza (think high schools canceling athletic competitions or companies postponing annual user conferences). Have you experienced social distancing due to the oink-oink flu outbreak?

LOL! oink-oink flu, I like it! My cousin Hayley suggested calling it piggy flu.
Anyway, no I haven't, but hear China is quarantining any Mexican person that omes into the country, which sounds vaguely disturbinging in round them up and arrest a whole group kind of way...

Friday Fill-In

1. Apples are to oranges as I don't feel like taking an intelligence test.

2. There was unpleasantness and that's all I have to say about that.

3. I think I hear
the TV in Mum and Da's room, although I don't think I hear it, I know I do!

4.I like the Aussie flag.

5. Do what you want to do, but
don't hurt anyone while doing it!

6. You wouldn't believe it he was just walking randomly and behind him was a Radio Flyer wagon; in the wagon was a bucket filled with marshmallows!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to finishing the memes - boring I know, tomorrow my plans include spending time with the family and Sunday, I want to just hang out!

Friday Question

8/05/09

What is your response in classes/seminars when you are asked to tell “three interesting things about yourself” during introductions?

Go "Oh shit" 'cause I hate being put on the spot like that! Not cool, not cool at all. Then I usually mention my family's trip around the world, having a twisted stomach and...something else, I just pull out of my butt, LOL!

The (Other) Friday Five

1. If you could live in any period in history other than now, when would it be?

Probably the future! I'd love to visit George III's time, but I doubt I'd survive!

2. What knowledge or skills do you think you'd have to learn to be able to fit in your chosen period of history?

All of 'em! Especially wearing corsets! Sewing and playing the pianoforte and all those 'lady-like' accomplishments, I'd be screwed! As for the future, who knows, LOL

3. If you could take just one thing from the modern world back with you, what would it be?

LOL! Feminine protection...because the alternatives...dodgy!

4. What period in history would you hate to have lived in?

Ancient Times...I probably would have ended up marrying my decriept old uncle, ewww...

5. What thing from the past would you like to see make a comeback?

Beta! LOL, nah...Don't really have anything specific.

Righto! Time to draw this entry to a close!
