Well, they say there's no place like home. But I guess it depends on what home truly is...
Today marked the end of my wonderful Spring Break vacation. I had a fabulous time everywhere I went, and am sad to see it end, especially having spent the last few days in NYC with usmcbeardad. It was pretty tough to leave this afternoon after we had brunch in Greenwich Village at Philip Marie. Not wanting to leave my roots too far behind, I had the Lumberjack, which was pancakes, eggs, bacon, and toast. After we got back to Queens, I packed up, said a pretty emotional farewell, and then left to fight traffic through Manhattan to get to I-78. After I got there, the ride was pretty uneventful. Took right at 7 hours total from doorstep to doorstep, and I even stopped a few times. I want to thank everyone for their hospitality at the various locales that I stopped in along this trip. Special thanks goes to usmcbeardad. I'll be back soon, I promise. |
