So far we did some relaxing and fishing yesterday. Swam a little bit too, then it thunderstormed. We saw a tree fall across the river, and then in the back along rt 97 a tree had fallen over a powerline causing an electrical fire. Thankfully nothing of ours went up:
It was crazy, since you could hear the electricity humming and everything. THe camera didn't really capture how you could see reflections of electricity arcing.
Here are some pics of me from our fishing/swimming bit. I had my river knife with me and told Kaitlin I was going to become a river pirate. RARGH
As for today, we did a short canoe trip from Ten Mile River down to here, Kaitlin had to take pictures in the car. We got lazy and didn't take any on the trip though. After that I hunted down a chipmunk and shot him with the single shot .22 I got from Jim. Using CBs it is pretty quiet. THis is the first kill with that rifle. In through the face and out behind the ribcage. It was back behind the garden, my first shot missed, but then I found him hiding and waited him out. When he popped out again I made sure I had something behind him to stop the bullet, and waited for a car to pass to help muffle any noise.
