All right! Here we go! Copying and pasting the original descriptions, mostly!



I felt like drawing girls in dresses. O.o Tifa's hair is oddly colored because I didn't want to put much black into a bright picture!




Tifa in charcoals... this one may have looked better before. The scanner made it all... grainy and such. T.T Nothing's perfect. But it's less grainy in real life.




There's an explanation to this, I swear. Um, this comes from my medieval-fantasy Kingdom Hearts AU, Bond of Hearts. Actually, the pairing kind of jumped out of nowhere, but now it's cute and tragic. So, read it. :)
Gosh, sorry, I'm dwelling on that story now... I'll have a new chapter up once I'm done with this... mmm. <3 Love that story.




I felt like I was obligated to draw Zack when I finished Crisis Core. He's a great protagonist... funny guy, and very lively! Oooh, feathers.

Yeah, Zack, I'd say you became a hero. *sob*


So. Rising Sun is a medieval fantasy which takes place mostly in a little village in the mountains. But little villages in the mountains have probably never seen all this trouble. Can't explain too much about the plot. I'm not very good at it. O.o This is odd, considering I wrote it. Heh. But anywho, onward. These are the three main characters and a supporting character who is here because he's freaking awesome. And hot, too. So yeah. You can all decide who your favorite is. u.u




Every time I draw her, she gets more beautiful. What's up with that, girl?! I'm gonna get jealous!!! >.<

Freya is the main character. At least, the third-person tends to follow her around. (The main main character is probably Cloud.) In any case, she's the leading lady. She's sixteen years old, somewhat pretty, and kind. Middling clever... she's not the brightest bulb when it comes to some things, but she's not stupid. She wants to be a healer and spends much of her time with Auma, the grandmother-figure-like village healer. She hates violence of any sort. She likes boys (and they like her) and adores her father, the headman. She also likes her cat, Blackjack... she's an all-around animal fan, except, you know, for frogs and things. She writes poetry occasionally, but it isn't very good at it. That necklace is a keepsake from her mother, who died when she was thirteen. She falls head over heels for Echo... and really, who wouldn't?

The obsessive bandit hunter.

The entire time I was drawing this, he just kept staring at me! That's unsettling! I wish this photo were of better quality! (And he gets to be shirtless because I want to show off his tattoo.)
There is nothing prettier to draw than Storm's hair. Unfortunately, there is nothing harder to color.

What an intense stare! It's my fault, really. Storm here has had a rough time of it, and since I'm the writer, I'm the one he blames.
Since Storm isn't one of the main three, I can blab on about his backstory with no reservations.
Storm is nineteen years old. As you can see, he is very pretty, but he doesn't LIKE being pretty, for reasons soon to be explained.
When Storm was sixteen, his parents were murdered by bandits when the three of them were out traveling. Unfortunately, the bandits figured that Storm was too pretty to kill, so they kept him around. They gave him that tattoo. After a year he managed to escape. Out of the frying pan and into the fire... He ended up in the wrong sort of village for one of his looks, if you get what I'm saying, and that was another difficult year. Heh. Well, he finally earned enough money to get out of there and went hunting for bandits. He ended up in a better village and was reunited with someone he'd met previously and fallen in love with. For a little while he was happy there, but then, yup, you guessed it, his lover was killed. This kid just can't get a break. But it's only because I love him!
After that he went to live in the village with his remaining family-- the headman is his uncle, Freya his cousin. :) Poor bitter, beautiful Storm. *pets*


Aaaaaand now: Ickle Redhead-kun! A.K.A. the mysterious, brooding, completely hot foreigner: Echo!



Yes, I said ickle. Yes, I used a Japanese honorific. No, I'm not Japanese. So sue me... I blame Fruits Basket for his disgusting new nickname. That's probably why he's glaring. ^^;;; Don't be grumpy, ickle redhead-kun!

*gasp* Could this be dramatic lighting that you can't really see???

Ah, Echo, Echo, ickle redhead-kun, my dear and beloved Echo! The enigmatic young man who appears suddenly in the village. I can't tell you much about him, unfortunately... the reader doesn't know!!! >:D *evil cackle* All you must know is that he glares frequently, is seventeen-then-eighteen, doesn't eat or talk much, speaks with an accent which at times sounds suspiciously Japanese, has color-changing mood-ring eyes (don't worry! Despite his glare, they are violet! Now silver, we'd be in trouble!), has a mysterious self-inflicted scar on his cheek, hates Cloud for no apparent reason other than that Cloud just grates on his nerves, and eventually has a crush on Freya. And he travels with a winged squirrel. And he's completely gorgeous. Which is probably part of the reason why Freya loves him madly. Plus he's so cute and helpless sometimes. Oh, you may act tough and whip everyone's behinds with your awesome sword skills, but you're just a kid inside, ickle redhead-kun!




The Main main character, if you want to get technical. Cloud here is Freya's protective older brother. When I say protective, I mean of everything. Really protective. REALLY protective. Cloud is twenty-one and is training to be a knight. He comes back to his home village occasionally and impresses everyone. ^^ EVERYBODY likes Cloud.
Cloud is generally a very nice person. Grumpy in the mornings, yes, and when he's tired, and when meeting strangers. He doesn't take very well to Echo. He's a good big brother... that necklace thingy he's wearing is probably some doodad Freya made for him when she was, like, six. Cloud's apparently got some money, since that blue cloth is rather expensive. Hm. He's good with a sword... actually, he's great with just about any weapon, but a sword is all he uses in the story.
Cloud is compassionate and kind and annoying and silly and serious and the headman's oldest son and handsome and fantastic and dependable.

But is Cloud who he seems to be?

Um, is it bad that I felt like I was drawing a Disney Princess while working on his hair?! XD It's just so poofy! I tried to get your particular eye shape in there, but I think my style interfered. ^^;


...and really, could I resist? NO.
