Perhaps I'm just not paying enough attention. I know the lighting in our guest and master baths is out-dated. It's the regular ol' metal plate with four globe lights. But what can we replace them with? We have a skylight in the master bath, but the existing lights are the only light source in the guest bath. For reference: Previous post about guest bath . The sink is gone, walls are painted, ...
I posted asking for help with regards to my foyer a few months ago. Sadly, we have decided that instead of the keys/purses/leashes area I wanted, it's basically going to be a bike garage. Manfriend commutes to work via bicycle, and leaving it in the backyard was just not cutting it. This is the only space that makes sense. But we did at least put this neat trunk on the end to hold all...
I posted the other day looking for fabric or patterns to put under an ikea table, and it finally occurred to me that wrapping paper would be the perfect solution. So sorry for posting again, but please show me saucy wrapping paper. Thanks guys. :) PS, I think this has been asked before, but I can't find it in the tags, so if anyone can direct me to an older post that would be fine too.
Hi all, OMG, I need so much help... My husband & I just bought a really groovy 113 year old Victorian house: From houses Which is a great house! It has a lot of sauce potential, but it needs some work. We're not moving in until August 1 and we'll be doing work on the interior until then. It needs wallpaper stripped, lottts of paint, and some of the flooring needs to be ...
It's me again. This post is in reference to this post. Thanks for all the tips, it was REALLY helpful. We ended up needing to do a little filling in of screw holes and little pieces of drywall that came off anyway, but other than that, no damage to the walls. We have the sink/cabinets out and will end up needing to tile the floor, and I have yet to take the big honking mirror down (which I'm ...
... baby wouldn't be in the room for a while as she will be in her cradle in our room. "Then why are we working so hard to get it done?!" "Because I'm neurotic!" I posted a while ago in saucyhelp but I think for now I am done (which the exception of the rug). . .I am just too tired to do any more work. ***edit**** The chandelier was purchased at www.urbanoutfitters.com. It's acrylic, so it is ...
At the end of June, I posted looking for some living room help. Of all the great ideas, I was most excited by the trunk as a coffee table one, so I began my search. While in Las Vegas for work, I stopped at the Antique Mall of America on South Las Vegas Blvd (by the South Point, if you know the area) and ended up finding a great, trunk style table with two matching end tables. . . for $75! ...
Hello! First off, I want to thank everyone for their help on this post , and to show my thanks, I figured I'd post an update! The paint I went with was Behr's Athenian Green. Some of the pics are sort of dark because of the windows, but you get the idea of the color vs brick from the others.
Hey guys. A while ago I made this post regarding fixing a mid-century four-seater couch and whether it was worth buying. Having got y'all's advice on how best to fix it, I decided to go for it. It then sat in my bedroom for a couple of months waiting for me to get some free time and actually do the damn thing, but finally with a university break, I decided to sit down and get it finished. ...
Okay not really, but you may remember my post earlier on this community, about my awkward storage. There's something about this damn hallway that never ceases to perplex me, I guess. :] So here's the light fixture in our crooked hallway: (I cropped it because I realized that I can never take a straight picture.) So anyways, this light is the perfect size for the hallway, seeing how narrow...
