So today I had decided to go off to Paris and to empty my wallet. Sales day was on when I woke up this morning and because I'm lazy, I only went in Paris in the afternoon. />The weather was (and still is) crap but as I only intended to go to the Printemps on Haussman, I didn't really care.
I started by the last floor and the shoes. Oh My God. I was in paradise. I tried lots of shoes, found love a few time but was deceived by the prices. In order not to explode my bank account, I forbid me to pay more than a 100€ for a pair. And then I arrived in front of Sinela and found some purple cuties. 50% off. They fitted perfectly and were just the love.

I also passed in front of ASH and saw a pair of black pumps that were made for me. The are making my legs look great and are going perfectly with The Dress (cf below) 50% off for those one too.

I also tried on some to die for and confortable Mellow Yellow pumps but while the right foot was perfectly fitted, the left one was feeling a bit squeezed. And I also tried on some lovely Carel in creme which were fitting to the utmost perfection. They still were costing 140€. So I left them in store.
I left the shoes floor and went to the awfully overpriced clothes floor. I never shop at Kenzo, MaxMara, John Galliano and all 'cos I do consider that 25€ for a top is scandalous so I usually never set foot in such places. So I only intended to lurk hot clothes.
And then I saw her. I was browsing the Episode racks and saw a dress. I took it off the rack and had a crush. The price was awfully high but I considered that trying it on wouldn't kill.
Before continuing, I would like to talk about me and evening dresses. I have the same one since 2000. Every single year my mum drag me to the shops and I try on a huge number of formal dresses only to find them too long, too short, too much cleavage, not enough cleavage, I would feel like squeezed, fat and all. All in all, I never found another eneving dress and stroll the years with the same one. Now lets go back to our story.
So I go to the changing room and tried it on and even before seeing myself I knew it was it. I had found The Dress. Before going out to look in the mirror, I unpacked the black pumps from above and put them on. The result was stunning. This dress was embracing my curves without making me look fat. It was falling freely around me and I was feeling wonderful. Still, the dress was costing 265€ minus 30%. But I told myself to stick my clothes price principle up my arse and to buy it. It's not everyday you find The Dress. Arriving at the till, I started to chat with the cashier and she asked me what I do for a living. I replied that I'm a student and she replied something like "Uhm, don't you think that this dress is showing a little mistake?" while looking at me and trying to me say yes. So I say "Yes, looks so". She took off the -30% tag, and wrote down -50%. Just because I was a student and she never got to finish her studies and still regret it everysingle day of her life, she gave me a 50% discount on The Dress. Whouhouh!
And now, The Dress

After this, my wallet was feeling pretty empty and I went on the next floor. There I bought numerous Petit Bateau tops and 2 long sleeved tops from Esprit
I bought 5 tops in total but am currently wearing one. It's a light purple.

One of the Esprit top
The other one.

All those tops had 50% off.
After that, I decided to stopped buying clothes. Until the moment I saw that they were doing some nice prices over at Chantal Thomass. Now, understand, I do not need any more bra or pantie. I've got like a ton. But I needed stockings. So I bought 2 different stockings the brand stopped producing this year. Both in double so I had a lil' stock ^^

Buying them made me think that I still didn't have a gartner belt, so I went to the underfloor and bought one. Discovered at the same time that you could buy dildos and other vibro and plugs at Le Printemps. And yes, I resisted and did not buy anything at Agent Provocateur. yay me :)
And that's it! After all that, I decided to go back home before buying a new bag I don't need.
Today is my mum's birthday. 60 years old. That's weird. |
