TIMELINE It's important to realise that though we have multiple story-lines going on at one time under no circumstance can a character from trio-era reply to, or interact with, a character from marauders era. This is not a time-traveling role-play; we're trying to keep this as canon as possible.

ACTIVITY Keeping with JKR's obsession with the number twelve, you are to update your characters journal every two weeks where you will be warned on the twelve day of having not updated and will have two days after to post. If by the 14th day there is no update, your character will be removed from the game.

INTERACTION In order for your character to have something to write about, you'll need to interact with others. This game is played through "threads", third-person past tense scenes, where the interaction will unfold in storybook form with "quotation marks" around speech.

MATURITY Proper capitalization and grammar will not kill you, so please type like you're coherent. Picking fights, disrespecting players, and causing any drama will not be tolerated. What happens out of the game needs to stay out of the game.

CANON Extreme storylines will not be permitted. No character will be involved with drugs of any kind, and no one will be getting pregnant.

ORIGINALITY With the exception of characters listed without character backgrounds on the Lexicon, original characters are not permitted; they tend to turn into Mary Sues.

JOURNALS Your entries should be written as a first-person journal entry. There should be no description, no role-playing, no sticky-caps, or netspeak. Your character's British, please make them seem that way.

If you're interested in applying, everything above needs to be clearly read through and understood, along with the rest of the information placed in the userinfo. We understand the rules, notes, and story are a bit lengthy but reading through them before you apply will give you a better understanding of the game and where we're going.

The notes below carry important information about the story so far and how the game will be run. Please refer to the drabble before reading and leave this as a way to clear up any confusion.

001. Many characters live on throughout the entire series, but do not over-lap in the game. Only a selected few are needed to over-lap, such as Dumbledore and Remus Lupin, because the character holds meaning in both era's. Death Eaters are the exception, however, and can appear if they want BUT the trio-era plot has been modified enough where no one is needed excluding the students and staff that cannot be played by a mod.

002. It is quite possible that arranged marriages were made during the time of the Marauders to keep the pure-bloods from completely dying out. It is up to the players to decide whether or not their female character truly loves her husband, or not, and what will come of it.

003. Muggle-borns and pure-bloods are very rare. No character with little to no background can claim they are such without a very reasonable story-line behind it.

004. Bellatrix Black Lestrange will be the only female Knight of the Walpurgis, and there will be no exceptions.

005. The customs of the Wizarding World and Britain back in 1979 differ greatly from our own, and though most of us have little to no knowledge about that time period we're to keep this game as canon as possible. No one should be listening to 'Pink' and doing drugs, claim their pregnant, or dressing as though they're hippies. Our characters are wizards, and are to act as such throughout the entire duration of the game.

Drabble-related Notes:

001. Though it seems most of the story-line is centered around the Marauders and their time period, do keep in mind that all future events and most articles are centered around the Trio. We have at least a years worth of plot for each era and are constantly adding on to them both each week.

002. Sirius is a Slytherin, and only knows James and Peter through Remus. Remus is the only one out of the group that truly trusts him and because of this constantly tries to get them both to see Sirius as he does -- faithful. James is convinced briefly to use Sirius as a secret-keeper, to show Remus that he does respect his decisions, but decides against it at the last minute.

003. Sirius has never been named Harry's godfather. Instead, Remus has, but he chose to give up the boy to the Dursley's knowing that living with a werewolf would be anything but pleasant.

004. James and Peter became illegal animagi in their 5th year at Hogwarts, aiding Remus during the full moons. Sirius, too, succeeded in the act but kept it secret and only visited Remus the morning after.

005. Severus Snape and Sirius Black have always and will always be bitter rivals. Sirius, however, never picked on him, but believed he was far too good to associate himself with his greasy-headed house mate.
