Hey out there! Just when you thought that I might never show up and actually post a complete rotation, here I am! ^_^ I'm a bit surprised, too, but I'm going with it.
Today has been a pretty good day so far. It just started really late because I didn't get home from Maddcatt's until after 5 this morning. x_x We started talking about stuff last night after her husband went to bed, and all of a sudden, it was almost dawn. So by the time I got home, I crashed pretty hard, and I didn't manage to get back up until almost noon. I'm wide awake now, though.
This is sort of a two-in-one rotation this week, since I didn't make it back here to finish my rotation last week. What can I say -- I was lazy! I think I'm making up for it today, though.
Rules: 1. All files are intended as samples only and must be deleted within 48 hours! 2. Please support the artists and buy the CDs! 3. Requests? What are those? Huh?
Up first... Straight outta last week...
Rotation #109
After four months waiting for this torrent to finish, Nightmare's live DVD that was released back in September is finally seeded and complete over at Jpopsuki! FaithSlayer posted this torrent, and then took four months to seed a complete copy, but at least it's finally here, so if you want it in VOB form, head over to Jpopsuki and snag it while you can! This torrent just completed yesterday morning, and I converted it to avi while I was at the wedding, and I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but I took a quick glance at it last night, and it looks good! I'm going to watch it later today, I think. I'm not sure about the setlist, because Naito's OHP lists 13 songs (basically the tracks from the WORLD RULER album), but this live is 1:46 long, so there has to be more to it. I'll see if I can find a setlist later. I'm not even 100% sure about the title. The Naito OHP lists it as VISION OF the WORLD RULER, but the torrent called it the WORLD RULER ENCORE. My guess is the title changed and the OHP is correct, so that's what I went with. The files are still titled the way the torrent was posted, so you might want to change that after you join the parts. I know that most of you have been waiting for this as long as I have, so enjoy!!
Nightmare - VISION OF the WORLD RULER at Tokyo Kokusai Forum A: 001 | 002 | 003 | 004 | 005 | 006
I had no idea that Angelo was released a new mini-album. There isn't a word about this release over at CDJapan, so I'm not sure where I would have bought it... I'm glad that I found it elsewhere!! Thanks to MissThrillz for sharing! I know I always say that Angelo is pretty much the second coming of Pierrot, but this time, even the song titles look like Pierrot song titles, don't they? I don't mean that in a bad way at all, because I love Pierrot, and I'm glad that they are continuing, even if it is under a new name and without two band members. I think this mini is wonderful from start to finish, with a deep, rich sound. I need to find someplace to buy this...
Angelo - The Freak Show: 01. He is a Monkey 02. Danmatsuma ni mimi sumashite 03. Neo Hades 04. Ceremony 05. Destruction Impulse 06. See You Again
This best-of collection from Himitsu Kessha Kodomo A isn't due to be released until later this month, but an advanced copy leaked, and I picked this up from le_gritche. Kodomo A has a unique, quirky sound and they've never managed to get the level of attention that a lot of the other UnderCode bands have achieved, so this is a good way to find out what Kodomo A is all about and get caught up on their career so far. I think I read somewhere that they are changing their name after this, but I can't remember what they will be called now...
Himitsu Kessha Kodomo A - Unou Shiki discs 1 & 2 Disc 1: 01. Ningen Lullaby 02. Binzokomegane 03. Haijin Z 04. Sekirara Come on Baby 05. Uchuusen karuhazumi gou 06. Mogake! Seishun 07. Kikai tsuma Caramel 07. Mushuusei Porno no onna 08. Tabigeinin arurekkiino 09. Kaijin guruguru otoko ki tan 10. Mirai seizouhou
Ka~yu, the bassist in Janne da Arc, is back with his second solo effort! Ka~yu plays louder, faster, and rougher than JDA, so his solo stuff is always heavier and more aggressive than what he does within the band. His vocals are unpolished, so I find that his singing takes a little getting used to, though he does a pretty good job with it. I'm especially fond of "Death Race" because of the teeth-rattling bass-line intro to that song. ^_^ Thanks to nayumii for both the CD and the PV!
Kazuyuki MATSUMOTO - Solid Beat II: 01. I don't care 02. Lost 03. Night Vision 04. Last Scene 05. Death Race 06. Carry on 07. Crawling in the rain
Ka~yu's latest PV is very red, and I love that he shows off his extensive tattoo collection so well! I could do without the implied violence at the end of the clip, but other than that, I like this PV -- especially Ka~yu's red contacts!!
Kazuyuki MATSUMOTO - I don't care PV
Many thanks to ed47a for sharing two more of the Versailles DVD live versions. I still can't believe that the "live" performance is just an overdub of the studio recording over a live montage, but the interviews are interesting. I'm keeping an eye out for the other two versions, and I hope I can find them sooner or later... What the hell is hanging from the corner of Kamijo's mouth during his interview? That has to be some of the weirdest jewelry I've seen in a while -- it's like gilded drool. But Kamijo is all sexy and rumpled, so I'm not really complaining. I'm not sure why Teru is in such soft focus during his interview...
Versailles - Aesthetic Violence (Kamijo version)
Versailles - Aesthetic Violence (Teru version)
Yay -- new Aicle single! I heard this band for the first time just within the last month or two, and I really like them so far, so I've been anxious to hear more. They have some heavy Visual Kei elements to their sound, but they also seem to have a little fun with it, and they have some light-hearted little moments, too. "C to Soprano" is a good example of that, I think. This is another solid effort from Aicle, and I look forward to hearing even more! ^_^
Aicle - Dokuiro Marvel: 01. Boku ha maou 02. C to Soprano 03. Kyuukei mugenrensa ~mizutama~
Kurikara was featured on the Psychotherapy omnibus that I posted a couple of weeks ago, so I was glad to find an older single from them (though it's only from May, 2007, so it's not ancient, or anything). I had a moment where I got so confused -- there's a band called Kurikara and a band called Karakuri! How many times do you think I'm going to get those names confused?? XD Anyway, I like this single quite a bit, especially "Haikei Sacramental", which is the song they contributed to that omnibus. It has a good groove in the melody, almost like that swingy groove that Merry does so well.
Kurikara - LOVER MASK: 01. LOVER MASK 02. Haikei Sacramental
It's a New Year, and my obsession with Tomoyasu Hotei continues. Since this is an acoustic set, it features a mellow, laid-back sound, and it's meant to showcase Hotei's considerable skill as a guitarist. I love the way this set starts -- the first song was my introduction to Hotei (the original version was used in the "Kill Bill" films), and then the next two songs have a sort of jam-band rock feel to them, and then he starts to slow down and mellow out for the rest of the set. If you're looking for a sort of bluesy, mellow album to chill out to, this is for you!
Tomoyasu HOTEI - MTV Unplugged: 01. BATTLE WITHOUT HONOR OR HUMANITY 02. BAD FEELING 03. SLOW MOTION 04. Bara to ame 05. Last Scene 06. DAY BY DAY 07. BORN TO BE FREE 08. Thrill 09. Bambina 10. Borsalino 11. MIRROR BALL ~kiseki no hikari~ 12. LONELY★WILD
D'ERLANGER is making a comeback for their 25th anniversary this year, which has stirred a renewed interest in their old material, so MorwenEledhwen at Jpopsuki has been kind enough to share some classics! This live was released in 1990 (and reissued on DVD later), so while you'll recognize the overall look as a precursor to Visual Kei, you'll also giggle a little at the scary '90s metal hair... It's a fun set, though, and D'ERLANGER inspired a lot of the VK that came after them, so I'm glad to have the chance to watch this live!
Setlist: 01. INSTRUMENTAL 02. LA VIE EN ROSE 03. INCARNATION OF EROTICISM 04. I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT YOU 05. DARLIN' (PV) 06. LULLABY 07. LAZY SLEAZY 08. AFTER IMAGE 09. an aphrodisiac
D'ERLANGER - INCARNATION OF EROTICISM live: 001 | 002 | 003 | 004
Yay -- a new singles collection from w-inds.! This is the first Japanese boy band that I really got into, and I'm glad that they are still together and making music, even now that they aren't teenagers anymore. I'm still looking for the actual DVD (tracks 12-15 are ripped from the bonus DVD), but I haven't found that anywhere yet... In the meantime, here is the latest collection of w-inds.!
w-inds. - Single Collection BEST ELEVEN: 01. Shiki 02. Yume no basho he 03. Kawariyuku sora 04. Izayoi no tsuki 05. Yakusoka no kakera 06. IT'S IN THE STARS 07. TRIAL 08. Boogie Woogie 66 09. Hanamuke 10. LOVE IS THE GREATEST THING 11. Beautiful Life 12. INNOVATOR 13. Past Tense 14. Shangri-La 15. Forever Memories ~2007 Live version~
And while I am doing the Jpop boy band thing, cashmere at Jpopsuki was kind enough to upload just the performances from KAT-TUN and Tackey & Tsubasa from the recent MusicStation SuperLive that featured tons of bands (that I didn't really care to see) and was too huge a file for me to download just for the couple of bands that I wanted to watch... Yay for super-fun, super-cute Jpop boys! ^_^

Rotation #110
I ripped and posted the new Kagrra, album yesterday, but it belongs in a real rotation, too! I listened to this album several more times last night, and while I am still infatuated with "Irodori no sanka", I have decided that "Boukyaku no hate no kogoe ta kodoku" is also brilliant. "Shigatsu tsuitachi" reminded me of Psycho le Cému when I listened to it on the way home this morning, which I thought was an odd combination. XD In any case, I'm discovering new things to love about this CD every time I listen to it, and I'm so glad that Kagrra, keeps delivering such wonderful music! :D
Kagrra, - Core: 01. Irodori no sanka 02. Ujou 03. Shigatsu tsuitachi 04. Guilty 05. Boukyaku no hate no kogoe ta kodoku 06. Sai 07. Kaze no kioku 08. Kamikaze 09. Yuki koi uta 10. Shin · hyakkiyakou
And once again, here is my rip of the new Kagrra, PV! There's something very peaceful and content about this PV, and I think that's why I like it so much. I'm still trying to figure out what's behind that door, though...
Kagrra, - Irodori no sanka PV
Thanks again to Azrael for sharing the new Sugar single a week before its release date! I love both of the new songs so much that I can't pick a favorite out of the two. Sugar just performs sexy music, and that's all there is to it. Pure love, and I pre-ordered their album today at CDJapan. Yay!!
Sugar - Blossom: 01. Blossom 02. Biyaku 03. Blossom (voiceless)
This was a happy discovery! caramel_ruki posted this Dir en grey live this week, and I downloaded all of the parts, joined the three files into one, and then converted the whole thing into one solid avi file. It's almost 40 minutes long, and this is Diru's set from the Wacken Festival in Germany this summer! I haven't watched it straight through yet to make a setlist... I'll try to remember to write it down when I watch it, but don't hold your breath. Diru in the daylight -- you can actually see the band! Yay!
Dir en grey - Live at Wacken Festival 2007: 001 | 002 | 003
As part of my great big project to transfer all of the music and video files from my work computer to my home computer, I rediscovered a bunch of PVs and music that I had totally forgotten that I had, so I picked a few PVs to upload this week.
Mix Speaker's, Inc. - THIRTEEN PV
serial⇔NUMBER - GO!YA!NUMBER PV
CELLT - Hakanai inori namida ni sabite PV
Guy's Family - no no spare key PV
Dollis Marry - Dolls Core PV
Shelly Trip Realize - Haru no uta PV
Twisted Clock - Hedonism PV
I know that I received a request for this Kisaki & Kansai Kizoku maxi-single a while back, but I had a hard time tracking it down in decent quality. 96 kbps isn't even worth listening to, as far as I am concerned, but this one is 192 kbps, so it's the best one that I found. This is a single from 2004, featuring Kisaki in one of his side-project incarnations, this time featuring Rame (from Vidoll) on vocals. The four "Usapyon to torajirou" tracks are a sort of comment/radio drama, "GUILTY manzai" is a long comment track, and "Eiyuu no honne" and "Kaeru no ko ha kaeru" are the only two songs on the single. The songs are fast-paced and a little rough, and Rame does a good job with the vocals! This was worth looking for, and I'm glad that I finally found it! Thanks to LuLu for the share!
Kisaki & Kansai Kizoku - BLACK MILKY: 01. Usapyon to torajirou 1 02. Eiyuu no honne 03. Usapyon to torajirou 2 04. Kaeru no ko ha kaeru 05. Usapyon to torajirou 3 06. "GUILTY manzai" (MILKY manzai ningyou) 07. Usapyon to torajirou 4 08. Eiyuu no honne (instrumental) 09. Kaeru no ko ha kaeru (instrumental)
Glamour was kind enough to share another outstanding omnibus! More hard-to-find, up and coming Visual Kei bands! Yay!
Various Artists - JUDGMENT#002: 01. as.milk - Hanabira 02. STELLA... - Hanabira hitohira 03. THE SKULL FUCK REVOLVERS - MIMIC 04. Hitotume - 16 05. L - Aruasa no joukei 06. Fake Cradle - Aka to kuro 07. LOST NAME - R. 08. kalvary - Gara shitsu to shoukyakuro 09. Loberia - Gyakusou 10. unfade - Cloudy after the rain
as.milk, one of the bands featured on JUDGMENT#002, released a single in December that was ripped and shared by urara. At first listen, I like this single. as.milk has a clean, VK sound, and I like the vocalist (which is always a serious test for what I think of a band).
as.milk - Ato: 01. Introduction 02. Ato 03. Disturb 04. 45
One of the first omnibus CDs that I rediscovered on my hard drive at work is this great collection from EXTASY records, released in 2000. Great bands + great songs = great omnibus, no matter how long ago it was released!
Various Artists - History of EXTASY 15th Anniversary: 01. X JAPAN - VANISHING LOVE 02. LUNA SEA - PRECIOUS... 03. GLAY - Manatsu no tobira 04. ZI:KILL - TERO 05. GLAY - RAIN 06. X JAPAN - KURENAI 07. LUNA SEA - MOON 08. BREATH - Boku no mawari 09. SCREAMING MAD GEORGE & PSYCHOSIS - PARANOIASCAPE 10. YOUTHQUAKE - Across the line 11. La Vie en Rose - Hotaru no hikari 12. DEEP - BILLY THE KID 13. THE HATE HONEY - Diary 14. TOKYO YANKEES - Japanese Motherfucker 15. MEDIA-YOUTH - Yellos 16. LADIES ROOM - SWAPPING PARTY 17. HYPERM∀NIA - Niji no mukou e... 18. ZI:KILL - 14u 19. X JAPAN - UNFINISHED...
And now for something completely new that has yet to be officially released, the new song from X JAPAN. xmanasamax upped this over at Tonberry, and it is a cleaned up version ripped from the Saw IV movie DVD. Yoshiki is still planning to release this song eventually, but no date has been set (that I have seen), so in the meantime, at least this is a far better version than the earlier versions recorded in movie theaters! I'm impressed with "I.V.". It's a good song, and worthy of the legacy of X JAPAN. Now we just have to convince that perfectionist Yoshiki to stop tweaking it and release it already! XD
X JAPAN - I.V.
This is so weird... I thought that the Tonberry torrent tracker was gone because the link to the tracker isn't listed in the forums any more, but it looked like the torrents were still active anyway, so I googled the tracker, and there it was! Yay! So I was thrilled to find that Quorthon is still sharing amazing live files, including this huge 2-DVD set from MUCC! With so much MUCC goodness crammed into this DVD set, how can you go wrong?

Leftovers anyone?
*whew* All done!! Of course, it's dark now, but I also got the laundry done while I was working on this post, so now I can think about dinner and maybe watch a DVD. I have a new anime (new to me, at least), and I think I might get started watching that one tonight. Saiunkoku monogatari, I think. It looks and sounds quite a bit like Fushigi Yuugi from the summary description, so I think I'll probably like it.
I've been posting pretty regularly lately, so maybe I can keep that up... We'll see, I suppose. Have a good one, and I'll talk to you again later!
