We’ve given the go-ahead for a complete gutting of our garden.

I often find that there are so many jobs that need doing, that all cost a fair bit of money - then it’s easy to err and umm deciding what to do first and generally spend so much time planning and budgeting that nothing gets done.

So we have the best quote thus far from a reliable chap who will:

1) Clear all the crap in our garden (old drainpipes, knackered fencing panels, random paving slabs, other junk excluding the wood which I will burn this weekend)
2) Pull down and totally replace the existing fence with concrete posts and weatherboards and a new 6′ fence with strong vertical slats
3) Put up a smaller 4′ fence with the same style posts and boards and a small gate at the front to give us some more privacy
4) Level the garden out so it is all flat
5) Lay down some fairly decent turf
6) Make a stepping stone style path reusing the existing slabs

This is not cheap, however it needs to be done and it will be wonderful having a garden that I could relax in and even have a barbecue.

We could have paid more to have some more landscaping, a proper embedded path, a new patio area, some plants etc. however we have to draw the line. We’re getting the basics done and the rest we can add to inbetween sorting the house.

So then, BBQ at mine at some point then
