Visual Nesting

Still adjusting my life around the computer, both attitudinally and aesthetically. I have these black nesting stands that I have employed to practical effect. Pics of that and a cat behind the cut. Walker

I hate it when I journal about purchases. It seems so trivial and materialistic. But I must praise the Criterion Collection's 20 year anniversary re-release of Alex Cox's Walker (1987). I have blogged about this film before and don't have anything to add except that it more than holds up over time. Rent it.

Speaking of the Book ...

I finally found a source for this nifty graphic . It is from the back page of the Freeport Wide Awake , Vol.1 # 13, Nov. 17th, 1860. I got the microfilm reel from the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library, Springfield, IL (Box M-52B #10-168). It is the header on a full page broadside, most of which can be seen here except the bottom got cut off. The last line reads: SHOUT BOYS SHOUT, VICTORY...
