I'm going to see _The Mist_ this afternoon/evening. Rick Emerson http://www.rickemerson.com says it's brilliant but seriously depressing and emotionally scarring; that the director wants the audience to hurt; that no major film company would produce it because it has such a disturbing, anti-life-affirming ending. So it sounds like a must-see.
