So I found out that the kid I thought had terminal cancer isnt really gonna die after all. They did some experimental surgery on him and it got rid of the cancer that he had so technically he is considered in remission right now. Him and his brother Steve were great guys and they came out fishing with us 4 days and then I took them to see Hobo Jim last night down at the Yukon Bar to give them the complete Alaskan experience. Needless to say they had the time of their lives, people kept buying shots and sending them up to Hobo who was glad to accept. At one point towards the end of the night he started playing "Old Mcdonald had a Farm" before he realized what he was doing and stopped himself. Everyone was laughing and yelling at him to keep playing it so he did. Filming the show with Larry Czonka was really fun and he turned out to be a great guy. He had a lot of stories about his days playin football and hunting and fishing and also had some cool stories about hitchhikin around the United States when he was younger. I think I will get a lot of air time when the show finally does get played because it was just 5 of us on the boat the whole time.

In alot of ways I feel like I fit in more in Alaska than I ever did back in Boston. I have finally found a place where my fishing abilities count for something and there are other people that love it as much as me. If they could just somehow move Manomet up to Alaska I think I would be happy stayin here for good.

Sunday night has become "cook out night" over at John and Laci's place. There are about 12 of us that go over there and cook a bunch of food and hang out before goin to downtown Seward. I spend most of my week lookin forward to Sunday. Last night when I got home I scared a black bear away from the trailer. Better make sure I dont leave any food out or he will tear the place to shreds.
