words from kioku--
looking at the title of this fic i just say angry "'splinter' my ass". It's so hard writing the boys in painful situations... It's most definitely more than a splinter. Guess that's just the point of the story. Everyone tries to hide their pain as if it's nothing, when in reality it hurts them so much. Ahhh... .... Anyways, enough of my pointless rambling, enjoy the chapter~ ♥ If we're lucky, I might get chapter 4 on here before 11pm ^.^ (It's 10:30 now.)

Chapter 3 - Story

“Get up lazy ass!” came the calling from Jaejoong's mother in the living room first thing in the morning. Jaejoong simply groaned, while Junsu shot straight up out of bed. He was surprised by such a call first thing in the morning. “Come on you stupid shit, where's my breakfast?”

“Coming!” Jaejoong called back. “Is there anything special you want Junsu?”

“Anything's fine.” They both went to the kitchen passing by his mother sitting in the hall. “Why is she in the hall?” Junsu whispered.

“That's probably as far as she could go before she fell over.”

They ate breakfast in peace- Jaejoong brought his mother's food to her in the hall, and Junsu was so happy to have a home-cooked meal. Neither of them had work so they decided to go out shopping since Junsu needed things like clothes and a toothbrush.

“Look at that Jaejoong!” Junsu pointed at a sign for auditions. “You should sign up!”

“There's no point.” Jaejoong continued walking and Junsu let his hand fall down in sadness for his friend. He knew Jaejoong loved singing, he could tell the instant he saw on stage. Seeing Jaejoong not having his dream be realized and could never be realized was really painful. “Ah! A drug store. Come on Junsu.”

“Junsu?” came a female voice behind the pair. They turned around to see a beautiful woman calling them. “It is you!” She wrapped her arms tightly around Junsu. Only when she pulled away, did Jaejoong notice Junsu was shaking. “Don't worry, it's only me, dad's not here.” She patted Junsu's head and he calmed down. “Oh, who's your friend?”

“Jaejoong.” Jaejoong replied to the stranger.

“It's nice to meet you Jaejoong. I'm Junsu's big sister Yoona.”

“Big sister?”

“Yes, he has a big sister.” she laughed then turned her attention to Junsu. “When are you coming home?”

“I can't go back there.”

“Why not? Please tell me. I've been so worried about you.”

“I'm sorry Yoona.” He turned away from his sister and entered the shop.

His sister sighed and faced Jaejoong. “Please take good care of him.” She left Jaejoong and he entered after Junsu.

While in the shop, Jaejoong kept eying Junsu. He wanted to ask why he wasn't going home, if he had a home. His sister seemed extremely nice and what's more, she seemed wealthy. Why would Junsu just leave? Jaejoong couldn't understand why someone would leave a family where at least one of the members were kind.

“It's a long story.” Junsu said as he caught the other's inquiring eyes.

“We have all day.”

Junsu didn't respond and carried their items to the checkout. Jaejoong payed for it all since Junsu still didn't have any money. Perhaps he would talk when they got home.

They both hulled bags full of stuff back to the house. Jaejoong's mother was luckily asleep and didn't bother them with any stupid questions or remarks.

They dumped all his new things onto the bed and sorted through it. Jaejoong cleared space inside his dresser and closet for Junsu. He finally noticed that he had left some questionable objects onto of his dresser. He blushed to himself and stashed everything that had to do with sex in his bed-side table. As Jaejoong was hanging up clothes, Junsu's voice came to him.

“My sister doesn't know that there's anything wrong at our house. She thinks I ran away from home instead of being kicked out.”

“You were kicked out?” Junsu nodded. “Why?”

“My parents didn't want me anymore because... I told them I was gay. They told me that I was disgusting and that I should just leave the house before I disgraced them anymore.” Junsu let a tear fall onto his cheek.

Jaejoong just approached Junsu and wiped away his tear, pulling him into a tight embrace. “I'm sorry Junsu.”

“You have no reason to be sorry.” He said through sniffs. “It's my fault for being this way.”

“No it's not!” Jaejoong released Junsu, grabbed his shoulders firmly and stared into his eyes. “Nothing about that is your fault. You are not disgusting. You are not disgracing anyone.” Junsu just continued to weep and Jaejoong returned to hugging him. It was no use in telling him not to cry, he needed to let all the hurt out.

For hours Jaejoong stood there holding onto Junsu, until he had no more tears to let fell. “Feel a little better?”

“A little.” Junsu whispered.

“There's something I should teach you. When have tears to cry, let them fall away with your sadness. When you have more tears to cry, there's no need to be sad anymore. I had to teach myself that or else I would have never stopped being sad.” Jaejoong laughed a little. “Don't worry Junsu, everything will get better.”

Junsu let a smile appear on his face as he nodded in a agreement to his friend. He wished he could tell Jaejoong everything that had happened to him, but felt like it wasn't the right time to tell him. By the look on Jaejoong's face though, he could feel that his friend had many more things to be sad about than he did. No matter how much Jaejoong smiled and laughed, his eyes were dead. If he could still smile, then Junsu would smile along with him.

“Are you hungry Junsu?”

“Yes.”

Jaejoong made them lunch and put a plate for his mother in the fridge for when she woke up.

“What should we do after lunch?” asked Jaejoong from across the table.

“I don't know, maybe we could-” A loud tune started playing and Jaejoong reached in his pocket to take out his cellphone.

“One sec, Junsu.” He flipped the phone open. “Hello?” Junsu could see Jaejoong's happy expression slowly fading away. “What time? Alright. Bye.” He hung up the phone and let it fall to the table.

“Who was that?”

He completely forgot about Junsu there and smiled at him. “Our boss. Umm... Junsu, is there anything you can do from six o'clock to eight?”

“Why? Do you have to go in for work?”

“Not really. Just a request from the boss. Sorry we can't spend the whole day together.”

“It's fine. Can I just stay here?”

“No.” Jaejoong replied quickly, shocking Junsu. “Sorry, I just don't want you to be alone here.” Junsu could tell Jaejoong was lying.

“I'll go to a movie then.”

“Okay, that's good.”

As the time neared six, Jaejoong gave Junsu some money and he took off to the movie theaters. Jaejoong sighed as he closed the door. He was actually for the first time in a long time, but then was brought back down to the feeling he was most used to with one phone call.

When the clock rang six, he heard a knock on the door. He opened the door to see a big man waiting outside. “Please come in.” Jaejoong ushered the man inside. He took off his coat and shoes.

“A full hour pay.” He said handing Jaejoong money. “I already gave your boss his cut.” Jaejoong pocket the money and looked at the man.

“The bedroom's this way.”

Junsu walked to the theaters, but only stayed at the entrance. Curiosity was getting the better of him and he wanted to know what Jaejoong was hiding from him. He knew that Jaejoong was doing something in the house, since he wasn't allowed to stay there.

He debated over the thought of leaving for twenty minutes before he decided to go. He didn't think Jaejoong would get mad at him for simply being curious. He began to walk back to the house.

Upon entering the house he looked at the coat rack and found an extra coat. Looking down, he found an extra pair of shoes to go with the coat.

'I guess Jaejoong has a guest he doesn't want me to meet.'

He took off his shoes and walked further in. Jaejoong's mother was now awake eating the lunch her son had made hours ago.

“You're back, I see. Did you come to join the party?”

“What party?”

“Waking up to cries of pain is not a good thing. I guess that guy must really want his hour worth.”

“What are you talking about?”

“The whore is doing business.” She got up and took her empty plate to the sink.

Junsu looked down the hallway to Jaejoong's bedroom. He knew it was wrong, but he couldn't help himself. He walked silently down the hall, until he was in front of Jaejoong's door. He could hear muffled moaning coming from inside. Then suddenly he heard Jaejoong's cry. It sounded in terrible pain. Junsu put his hand on the doorknob about to turn it when he heard a deep voice.

“You're so beautiful when you scream. Scream for me more.” Jaejoong yelled out again in pain, and Junsu's hand shook on the doorknob. He was finally going to enter the room when he heard footsteps approaching him. “Thanks for the good time.”

The door opened and Junsu looked up at the big man in front of him. The man just smirked at Junsu and exited the house. Junsu watched him, until he left before he looked inside Jaejoong's room.
