Glee.

I got home just a little while ago from nyrf and IHOP.

I barely remember much of Saturday, I'm so tired, but it was all awesome. I got to see tons of friends that I haven't seen since last year. Yayness. All I clearly remember of Saturday was the not-so-great diner we went to Crow and Rhaedde.

I'm a booth manager this year, which is neat. I'm trusted. Woo. I was really careful all weekend to be up to Roy's standards, since he wasn't in "my" booth much of at all. (There's two booths this year.) I didn't get to hawk even as much as I usually had in past years, because Trey was really enjoying himself doing it, and one of us should pretty much always be behind the counter for customers. Even if there aren't any. I do confess to hawking out front with him a couple of times, though, when things were really slow.

Hint for helping me be a good booth manager: by all means, come say hi when you pass, but please don't block the main part of the counter, or the very front of the booth. The best place to stand if you're going to visit for a moment is right near where the wall and the counter meet. Even then, you obviously can't chill too long, I have to work, but this way, you won't be blocking paying customers. I wouldn't even say anything, but I spent more time than I liked asking people to move, and it kept making me paranoid that Roy was going to walk by before I moved someone and think me irresponsible. So now you all know. ♥

Today, I remember more of, it's still mostly fresh.

- I had a lot of fun hearing Crow IRL troll people. Even when I know what he's going to do, he still amazes me with the funny. It's handy that he's only two booths away, I can hear most of what he says without stopping what I'm doing.

- Little girls really like axes. (For those of you who don't know, my job at the faire is selling wooden toy weapons to kids.) This makes me happy.

- I got a free pack of clove cigarettes because my friend is allergic and my other friend (her husband) saw me try to bum one off a knife thrower.

- At IHOP, I kept Cat well updated as to the status of my bathrooming, and Mike made a comment that ended up with me grabbing lots of boobies and having mine grabbed. Woo-hoo, boobies.
Also, I had a wavelength for just a moment that only Brian was on, and that will bring me giggles all week.

- I got a pleasant surprise at a moment that I thought was going to turn bad very quickly. It restored a bit of my faith in people in general. Thanks. :)

- Trey couldn't get out of BFA, even when we asked him where the beer was and I about died laughing.

- I finally have garb that I feel like I look good in.

Hm... I guess I clearly remember a lot less than I thought I did... this list is mostly things that happened at IHOP, or late today. I'm all stupid tired, though, so I forgive me. I always have such an awesome time at faire, and then when I get online, I forget everything I wanted to post about.
