I spent just over 4 hours at the tattoo parlour today.  The result:

/>I am amazed at how beautiful this turned out.  The picture isn't very good, but Rick was in the other room on the phone while I tried taking it myself.  It's on my lower back (the only spot that I had left that was big enough for it).  The artist knew it was a memorial for my dad, and he charged me a very reasonable rate in order to do the minimum amount of work that i'd expected him to do.  Turned out over 4 hours later that he added so much more than planned to it, and turned it into his own work of art. Just outstanding.  I cried when I finally saw it, and Dustin gave me a huge hug and told me he can't wait to see it again when it's healed.  He was just as proud of his work as I was, and brought the whole shop (customers and all) in to show them my memorial to daddy. :)

My boss called yesterday and said that she will be delivering dinner to my mom's house every night this week.  I was still at the tattoo parlour when she arrived tonight, but she brought so much food.  Rick was in awe when he walked in to mom and dad's house because of the amount of food.  The bank that my mom works at also went out to the house today to deliver food and a gift card for mom.  There is an un-Godly amount of food to be eaten.  Good thing we have family coming in tomorrow to help eat it all, and then some since more will be delivered through Friday. 

And now I need sleep.  I spent yesterday and this morning at the funeral home making arrangements with my sister, and then my long tattoo afternoon.  And tomorrow I'll be up at the butt crack of dawn yet again to head out to mom's to wait for flower/plant deliveries (we have gotten so many of them already today and they are beautiful!!), food deliveries and relative's arriving while mom and Tammy are in town making last minute arrangements for Thursday's memorial service.
