Synopsis: Jackie Moon - singer/ owner/ coach/ basketball player - faces a dilemma when the company decides to merge with the NBA. In order to prevent his team from getting disbanded, he tries all means (a.k.a. stupid stunts) to gain publicity. 

Yes, the synopsis is THAT short. If you are looking for plot, forget it because a movie with Will Ferrell never seems to carry much weight with story line. 

Despite that, Will Ferrell is my favourite comedy actor ever~! The bizarre conversations between characters and the dead panned one-liners are hilarious once you actually get the jokes. There is enough "Mr Bean toilet humor" for the weak minded to get entertained even though much of it depends on the American slang. 

The soundtrack has Will Ferrell crooning to awful repetitive lyrics. Coupled with some oldies and retro techno music, it's really worth a buy. 

My take is that if you enjoyed Blades of Glory and Talledaga Nights, you'll probably love Semi-Pro as well.
