These meds are killing me...
I'm not feeling depressed anymore, other than now and then, and only for maybe an hour tops, which is a HUGE improvement from continuously feeling miserable. However, they're not letting me sleep at all, which is making me miserably tired. While it was OK for a little while, I'm exhausted now. I skipped my pill over the weekend and promptly slept from 4pm-6am Saturday to Sunday. I then talked on the phone and laid in bed trying to sleep a little more until 8:30am and got up. I was in zombie mode all day long and got almost nothing done, except for my library practicum, which involved volunteering at the university library reference desk for two hours. I was supposed to learn more about being a reference librarian, but all I ended up doing was giving the current person there a few pointers, as he kept getting stuck and asking for my help. After working (6 years x 52 weeks/year x 30 hours/week average) about 9,360 hours in a public library, I didn't really expect to learn much anyways.
On Friday, my friends Derek and Tracy came over to visit, and Jessi came to spend the night. We hung out, ate good food (Lasagna for meeee!) and played with my cats. After Tracy left, Derek had us watch the new Beowulf movie (ugh!)and then retreated home in the increasingly deep snow collecting outside. Saturday, Jessi and I worked on my Relay for Life stuff. I've raised $227.50 so far! I'm planning on doing what I'm calling a "Reverse Garage Sale", which means that I'll be asking people at work to donate small mailable things that I can sell on Ebay. All profits are going to go to the fund. Last year, I made over $100 selling things I didn't want around my house for Jessi's fund.
I'm even more behind on my college stuff, but I'm holding up. I have a major paper- 15 pages- due next Tuesday, and I'm still behind on my cataloging class. I wish I cared a little more than I do- I've been really lackluster about catching up, probably partially because of how tired I am. We'll have to see- I think I can do this, though.
Jessi's been amazing. :-) School, charity work, teaching, helping her family out, being there for me... I don't know how she does it.
