Stupid_free is where I go to catch the best wankfests on LJ. It's like how Talk Soup gathers the clips of the best shit on reality TV so that I don't actually have to watch reality tv to see it. Click here and savor the irony of how a post mocking wank turns into one one of the biggest wankfests I've ever seen. It's like the internet just imploded on itself.

Even though any community on Livejournal with "politics" in the title presumes a clear and constant state of disaster and flaming, politicsforum tends to keep its head screwed on fairly well most of the time. Okay, so I was reading this weird post in stupid_free and someone made a comment about the (alleged) Patient Zero of AIDS. And I realised I really, really don't know as much about gay history as I should. I also feel bad a post at Stupid_free makes me aware of these shortcomings. So I was wikipediaing Patient Zero, Gaetan Dugas, and a book (and a movie) about it called 'And The Band Played...
