Re-posting a comment I made over in radven 's LJ... I never use gift cards... when I receive them, I toss them in a drawer as a sort of emergency slush fund and re-gifting stockpile. This has meant I've lost the value of several... Sharper Edge, Mrs. Fields and of course... a couple of yellow Tower cards. All wasted purchases. Probably none of the cards I've received would ever get used...
