My son Otto (age 3.5, a BLW graduate) decided to help himself to a raw egg yesterday! I guess some of the adventurousness and do-it-yourselfness of BLW is still running strong. Here's a link to our conversation about it.

Otto has had his sword for a couple of weeks now, so Sean went back to the toy store and got another for Henry. Sword fighting was the game of the day (Henry is surprisingly good at it and usually goes for the neck!). More pix at otto_thorbjorn .

Sean made beef with snow peas for dinner, and it was awesome. But even more awesome is Henry's new milestone !

Blue week day 2. Also, I finally got a picture of Henry's teeth .

I am sick. I finally succumbed to whatever creeping crud all of the guys had. But, other than being sick, this has been a great couple of days. I introduced Otto to potato printing on Wednesday (we made valentines!), which he absolutely loved. Then yesterday, he wrote his own name . And I got an email from Singer saying that they'd selected Wodenvencil as a runner-up in the sewing with nature contest...

Today Henry is 10 months old. I forgot to take a picture to commemorate the day, but I did happen to get video of Otto and Henry playing together and cracking each other up . Henry has 4 teeth (3 on top and one on bottom), and says "mama" and "dada" and "da" (which means "that" - he says it when he's pointing at something that he wants to know the name of), and is cruising the furniture and can tentatively...

Yesterday we had our 2nd annual pumpkin carving party. Otto helped me make cupcakes and then ate the frosting off about 10 of them. Henry hanging out. Liam carving. On Saturday we went back to Lone Pine farm to visit the pumpkin patch and ride the cow train with Grandpa Phil (Sean's dad), and then for a walk on Skinner's Butte.
