Day 6 - No Baking Soda!?

When I went to bed last night I was planning on doing a baking soda rinse on my hair since it was getting oilier. I found out that *gasp* I had no baking soda! So I did a vinegar rinse and washed with cool water(my hot water only lasted about 5 minutes into my shower). I know I just recently posted, but I am in some desperate need of help. I seem to be having a sensitivity reaction to the SLS/SDS in my shampoo and soaps. I've had reactions before, but at the moment, it's unbearable, so I'm eliminating it from my beauty regimen. I've been thinking of eliminating shampoo from my life for a while and this could be push in the right direction. I've got straight hair...

The Green Geek

Mods, if you feel that this is inappropriate, I won't be offended if you delete it. I have been working on a healthier lifestyle since earlier this year in April. More recently I have started working on making it more natural and green as well. While on this journey I have run across many websites and blogs that have proven to be inspiring and useful. Because of all of this I started The Green Geek...

Hair, Hair, Hair - HAIR!

Sorry, couldn't help myself there with the title... Anyways! I've been around this community for about a month or so and decided to finally get around to making an intro post of sorts. When I was younger I loved having short hair. I didn't like long hair. I didn't like the feel of it on my neck and all that. So I mostly had my hair short. For my high school graduation in 2006, mom convinced me...

Lightening blonde hair

Hello all. I'm sorry about the repeated post if you're on all these communities, but I was hoping to get as many responses as possible. Was hoping to get more info on that (and also, do you rinse it out after you use some? how much juice to how much water ratio? etc). My best...
