Monday, I took large chunks of the chapter and re-arranged it. Decided that the discussions about Tent Stitch belonged earlier, and not under "Motifs". Decided that the weird stitches used on motifs belonged under Motifs (Duh!). Meant re-arranging figure numbers again. Met with ngelinadb on Tuesday night as she carefully read through it, She got through 3-4 pp. before sharpening the pencil...

Since I had a bit of time, I went back to Chapter 1 and inserted a new section (just a couple paragraphs) about who used sweet bags. It was the result of a discussion ngelinadb and I had on Monday. Unfortunately, it meant renumbering 20+ footnotes. Time spent: 2 hrs

So, around the other exciting things happening yesterday, ngelinadb took her editing pen to Chapter 6. She didn't get all the way through, but I confess to being a bit distracted (big day for the SCA hobby. The upshot is that I am left with another six months of time to devote to The Book). Spent some time this morning updating the chapter with her edits. And additig a pparagraph up front...

19 flowers are now done. 5 yet to do, including Grapes, Rose and Honeysuckle, which are all rather large. Then I think the chapter will have been groomed sufficiently to call it done. Looks like it will need another couple days -- I thought it would be done this weekend. *sigh* Can't say it was for lack of attacking it! As I look at the pictures together, I have been updating the table of flowers...

1) california prisons are getting yoga, cooking classes, and new landscaping (so the prisoners dont have to look at the fence)...are you kidding me? they are CRIMINALS does this tic anyone else off? their mental health and well being is more importeant than mine?! id like to take yoga but i cant afford it. id love to take a cooking class but can anyone say cost prohibitave? and are you serious......
