The Good Saint Darwin Lives Again at Triangulation!

Got the email from Pete Butler and the Triangulation crew -- "Saint Darwin's Spirituals" has been accepted for the Triangulation: Dark Glass anthology! I am really, really psyched about this. Rewriting this story has been an incredible experience for me. I put everything I had into the rewrite and I am very stoked Triangulation picked it up. Thanks to bogwitch64 , voidmonster ...

Update

Two more pounds gone, total now 32. I look different, feel different, and clothes fit differently. It's all good. I still have more to go, but I'm already worried about maintenance, which is where I've screwed up before. I think with Weight Watchers™ online, I can do it, though. I spent a few days in Nashville over the weekend, visited matt_wallace who was a gracious host. The food was good...

A wonderful comedic invention that's been done before

So I found out these guys who seem funny "http://twitter.com/NathanandJoe" are going to do something revolutionary.  Something that's never been done before.  They are going to be using Twitter for comedy!  And it'll go right to your cellular phone!  Josh Shipp is using it very well.  Small tips and inspirational bits sent to your phone.  If you aren't familiar with Twitter, you can text 40404 and...

An angry man wants to give you an iPod

Matt Wallace, the angriest writer south of the Mason-Dixon line, is running a contest (along with Mur Lafferty). Order their books, and be entered into a drawing to win an iPod. From the Angry Man's own words: Mur and I are also extending the entrance deadline to the 18th, so anyone who hasn't gotten in on the raffle yet who'd still like to, simply order Playing for Keeps and The Next Fix...

Even for us, it's a lot.

All this month on Variant Frequencies, The End of Flesh written and narrated by Matt Wallace. Yes, narrated. You don't want to miss it. This is part one, the rest to follow over the course of December. Our cup overfloweth with Wallace this month. To get this, and other tales by matt_wallace in print, check out The Next Fix . The other thing we have in abundance this month is snow....

Yuletube: Do You Believe in Santy Clause?

Thanks to matt_wallace  's F'n Advent , I'm seriously pondering picking up a Santa hat myself.  That said, I don't think anyone can rock the red velvety cowboy hat with white fur trim the way the Boss does.  And I'm not sure anyone else should try.  This is my second favorite Springsteen Christmas song.

Update

Two more pounds this week, so the total is now 20 pounds gone. This is the first goal I set, and now I'm there. So now I'd like to set a new goal on the Weight Watchers™ page, but they aren't making it easy. As far as I can see, I need to erase all the old stuff and start over. Or print out the old stuff, then erase it, and then enter it back in after if I want to keep it. I may be reading it all wrong...
