It was mentioned at the crew brief last night, so I think it's fair to publically applaud maleghast who is now one of the official Planet Angel photographers - well done, sir :-)
I've been asked this several times, and thought it would be a good idea to post a step by step guide to how to record something your speakers are playing (like, say, a radio programme or the soundtrack to TV that's being streamed) and saving it as an MP3. These instructions are for Windows XP - I may well create instructions for the Mac when I've got time (cos I have one). If you've got instructions...
The Wonderstuff came up in conversationlast night during a very enjoyable evening with sarahloo , unascertained and maleghast . I have tonight been eschewing the usual racket I listen to these days and popped on a couple of old cassettes. First up was "The Eight Legged Groove Machine" by The Wonderstuff, their rather wonderful debut album. I remember them playing "Give Give...

Mile End Climbing Centre is pretty empty on a Sunday morning, and clear walls and a clear head allowed us all to feel that we were progressing. From there, I went to the Natural History Museum to mean up with sixtine , bellagrim...

So I've had a hectic few weeks! Last weekend was my birthday and I had a truly fantastic time. Friday I had a lie-in and then had presents! Tom got me a wine gift-case filled to the top with chocolate, sweets and lollies; I was so excited about that that I forgot to notice the piece of card tucked inside which read "You will soon be the proud owner of a Canon 400D" which he'd used as a substitute...

Buried in this article (courtesy of maleghast ) about facebook is a line that really resonated with why I object to the site: Can you create communities free of national boundaries - and then sell Coca-Cola to them? Facebook is profoundly uncreative. It makes nothing at all. It simply mediates in relationships that were happening anyway. There is also some some cynical mention of how...
