Gah. I saw this post linked on illustrators featuring a set of storyboards for a scene from a new horro movie being developed...somewhere or other. And, you know, nothing against the artist, but how fucking sick of the torture porn schtick am I? Why is it that our culture continues to be flooded with images of women being terrified, attacked, tortured, threatened juxtaposed with sexy...

Only slightly related, but in one of the art communities I belong to somebody posted a piece whose title seemed... hauntingly familiar. :-) Check it out! Does anybody know what that phrase means, by the way?
