1. Spitzbuben These were, as usual, the hit of the party. They are an intensely vanilla cookie with a fruit filling, and take the most time of any of the cookies I do, but they are always worth it. I use a teaspoon of regular vanilla extract (Schilling), and plain egg white instead of the powdered stuff, and they turn out just fine.
