Plant mystery! Help with ID?

My boyfriend's grandmother recently passed away, and we subsequently inherited one of the many houseplants that she owned and cared for. The only problem is that I've no idea what it is exactly - or what "they" are, to be more precise, as there are three different types of plant in this one container that we received! I've snapped some photos in the hopes that someone might be able to help identify...

Some time member, first time poster here;

Hello, patio_gardens community. :) My name is Ta, and I am hoping for a little help in identifying what's wrong with one of my plants? Other than quite a few stalks of Dracaena that I have owned over the years, which of course thrives effortlessly, I am very new to gardening of any sort. I have never felt that I have much of a green thumb whatsoever, but I do absolutely love plant life...

the waspinator

i have various wasps in my yard - the normal yellow jacket, these lovely big red wasps and mud-dobbers. i dont want to out right kill or trap them them because i read they control the webworm population and i dont want to use chemicals that might kill bees or other beneficial bugs. ive seen the waspinator and wondered if anyone has used it and if it worked. thanks x-posted to gardening...

Today's Harvest!

Black-eyed Peas, Banana Pepper, and tomatoes - Razzleberry, Red Cherry, Wickline Cherry, and Juliet. This harvest is actually a little smaller as far as tomatoes go, than what I have been getting. I didn't pick any cukes today either, but I have already eaten several. Also growing and soon to be picked I have bell peppers, eggplants, tobasco peppers and TONS of cucumbers, as well as more tomatoes...

OMG1 Your Icon will kill me!

So, an innocent post was made to gardening , asking what type of flowers were in the vase pictured . Seems innocent, right? Looks are deceiving. Starts out with bifemmefatale asking if the OP knew " that icons like yours can trigger seizures in some people? " To which, the OP, kikimode responds, 'Then don't stare at it.' Cue, minor wankage, between the two, until ...

Over in gardening...

  kikimode  has a question about flowers, but while posting a brightly-flashing icon .  People mention that the icon in question (along with being annoying as hell) can induce seizures in some people.  Her repsonse? mentally handicapped people shouldn't be on the internetz. Small sf, but has potential.   You stay classy,  kikimode  .  You stay classy.

sheesh http://community.livejournal.com/gardening/2713360.html?thread=22810896#t22810896 That doesn't work on all keyboards (I've tried and it didn't stop flashing). Did you know that epilepsy can be fatal? Do you think that's funny that your icon could actually KILL someone? The last time you posted here someone became very ill and almost wound up in hospital. Grow up.

Rotting tomatoes

My tomatoes are suffering from blossom end rot/buckeye rot. The fruit's green but its brown/black on the bottom where the flower fell off, if that helps. All of the fruit is at least a foot above the dirt. Is this just because of the massive amount of rain (I live in Northern VA)? I don't know what I should do to stop this but they can't come inside so if the problem is too much water what's an easy...

Gardening Update

X-posted - was originally a comment on this entry in Gardening: http://community.livejournal.com/gardening/2689461.html I'm in Phoenix, AZ. We got an unusually quick summer / heat wave (in April / May), but for the last couple weeks it's been unseasonably cool. By unseasonably cool, I mean "in the nineties / hovering just over 100" instead of "OMG, my thermometer stops at 110". I planted almost...
