I've gotten a bit done on this, especially during the "Stitch 'til Midnight" event last Friday at Handmade Memories: Had a bit of frogging to do as I have trouble placing those wall paper motifs correctly. But largely it's stitching up really quickly and I'm pleased with it. Also, an update for those of you who were interested in my "Mobile Needlework Shop." I've finally settled on a name...

This is the last of the Lizzie*Kate pieces I've been stitching this Spring (though one other still needs to be blogged about at some point!). "Follow Your Heart" turned out to be one of the fastest finishes ever, at a mere five hours, and was stitched on 28ct Zweigart "Jubilee" evenweave, in antique white. I did no colour substitutions on this one, and only modified the charm at the end (and that only...
First, a WIP update of Lavender. I worked on it yesterday while I was sick, so got a bit done in between bouts of distraction: Had trouble locating a handy coin, so I used my Thread Heaven box for scale instead. :) This is such a sweet project, I'm glad I picked it up. Now for the fun part. An LJ friend of mine posted some pics of the purses and bags she's been making. I found out ...
Two recent finishes to share... My Best Friend's Bra Some of you will remember that I blogged back in March about a piece I'd finished, that I couldn't talk about -- the infamous electric-blue-thread-on-black-evenweave piece. Well, said piece came back from the framers at the start of March -- which meant I was then able to present it to my best friend and heart-sister, darkest_starlet...
A bit late as usual with my update pictures... Here's where she was And here's where I finished up after the SAL.
Bluebeard's Princess WIP VI
I've been working on her upper body a bit...her face looks really good. It'll probably look better once she has eyes, though...
And now she has beads in her hair! A...
Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present: Dolly Mama's Big Girl Panties ! I was really delighted with this project. The colors, while lurid in one sense, were certainly bright and cheerful -- "clown colors," really. An easy stitch, even using standard DMC 14ct. waste canvas. And one with me modeling, just because. :) Really looking forward to wearing this one to Oregon next weekend! ...
Hello All! I'm sure I'll get some crossover here from cross_stitch but since I have some chart type things too I though I'd post here as well. My Geeky finishes! David Tennant, John Barrowman and Stargate fanfic realted item (I'm not sure how much geekier one can get there =P ) All done over 2 on 32 count linen. For the two portraits I ended up blending the lighter colours in the hair...
Readers of cross_stitch and/or crafty_tardis may have seen this one: I converted meredee 's filet crochet pattern (found here: http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m19/meredee/tardis/tardis_pattern.jpg ), and stitched on 14ct. black Aida, using two strands of DMC 825 over one; the light on top, the lines along the edges of the windows and the words 'POLICE BOX' were...
