Tonight I went off to watch "Derren Brown: Enigma" at the Adelphi Theatre (SJA duty). I'm not familiar with any of his previous work, although billyabbott has recommended one of his books. Anyway, it was very impressive, and I enjoyed it. He describes himself as a "fake psychic", i.e. he's not claiming to actually have any psychic powers, but he also insists that he doesn't use stooges in...
I am rather amused that it was the eighteenth amendment that installed the National Prohibition Act in the US constituion and the twenty-first amendment that repealed the act. On Tuesday I was able to scratch another place off my list of places I've been meaning to go to...
I wonder if new illustration mag Dangerous Ink [ via ] is going to aim for being a British version of Juxtapoz . It would be cool if they were, because it would be great to have a magazine that focussed on that sort of art and design from a British perspective instead of an American one, for a change. Nude is getting there but it's trying to cover more bases so there's not as much depth...
