God, I fucking love beckyzoole

She's so easy to play with. I really think she's the female version of The Nice Guy™. beckyzoole was a major supporter/promoter of the LJ Strike of 3/21/08

High Weirdness on the hoof:

The rise and fall of Fordlandia , Henry Ford’s rubber plantation in Brazil in the 1920s and 1930s. “ Bring Your Gun To Church Day ” in Louisville.  Check your ammo at the door. Cornish Pasty flavored potato chips , which has to be one of the least expected ones I every could think of.   And a domestic quarrel using Cheetos as a weapon on both sides in Tennessee . Possibly the wildest-furnished...

Friday update

Small Change review with excellent answer to the "too many gay people" question in the comments, and from someone who hasn't even read them. My Bujold re-read continues on Tor.com: The Warrior's Apprentice , Ethan of Athos , and they should be putting up The Borders of Infinity and Brothers in Arms soon. I went up to Fouvrac yesterday and found some Elderflower and Lemon and some Elderflower...

Anniversaire

Blimey, it's almost a year since the content strike . I've just been reading back over some of the comments made at the time. Funfunfun. :) LJ has been far too quiet lately - we need some quality drama to liven things up. Anyone fancy organising a lame protest about anything?

Five more things!

armaina associates Blue, Chocolate-covered espresso beans, Trout, LJ, and California with me. Blue I covered Blue previously. In addition to what I said there, I will also note that if one applies color seasons to me, I am a Winter, and thus have more of an affinity with the blue side of the spectrum, as opposed to the orange side. I like the color. It's soothing. It now has M&Ms...

I recently bought a recumbent exercise bike to add to my ever-growing set of home gym equipment. I did this for three reasons. First, it's easier to read on an exercise bike, which lets me ride as I do homework or other reading. (Though, alas, the presence of magnets make me suspect to take the laptop on it). Second, and this proved untrue, I figured that I'd be able to keep a lower pace for longer...
