A Different Way To Round Off An Album

As I've said previously, I tend to buy quite a few second hand CDs. I had this idea that I'd start posting reviews here, the upshot of which is that rather than ending up writing lots of reviews and boring you all, I end up with CDs slowly piling up next to the computer, so it's probably time to start rectifying this again. That said I didn't buy the CD currently on the top of the pile and second...

A week off 1 - Scaledown

There's no absurdly long holiday for me this year - now I have to book time off like normal human beings again, and for the past week I've been in Bristol. I've come back with lots that I want to write about, and I barely know where to start. But I shall take the advice of Alice, and start at the beginning. (This was going to be one entry, but there's so much stuff to write about, I'm going to do...

Lyrics quizlet. Here are snippets from ten songs - identify the song and the artist and show me what a clever clogs you are: - 1) Halston, Gucci, Fiorucci - bagrec correctly identified this as Sister Sledge's "He's The Greatest Dancer" 2) Tiffany and Cartier are telling me the time 3) Down deep inside, there's a place in me I'm yearning to explore 4) Play a song, let your banjo ring!...

Piano Choir

I've always found mellotrons a fascinating idea (mainly because whoever thought them up must have been clinically insane) and have just wanted one to play with (even though I wouldn't have a clue how to play it). However, I've changed my mind, I want one of these instead... Not sure where I'd find space in the flat to keep a choir though. ( via bagrec )

Update

In the style of elemenopea I'm back from my pre-Christmas dad visit.  Little nephew is still in hospital, now with a stomach infection.  Slightly worrying, to say the least.  He's now been put in a side room, so he can sleep and get some rest and hopefully improve.  The last person they put in a side room was my mum, but I know I'm reading WAY too much into this, so I'm managing to keep...

Got to dig in now, can't really afford anymore slip ups. Fantastic piece by Richard about the Rock Garden circa 1980. Can't remember the last time I went but I don't think I went very often if at all after we played with The Fall in November 1980. I was there most of the nights Richard talked about. It was a very scary venue with fights more nights than not. We must have had some front because...
