Well, I have officially moved every single one of my files from my old computer onto this one. Saying goodbye to the old one made me feel kind of sad (well, it's still here and I can still use it but you know what I mean). It was good to me and we became the best of friends. I wish it the best of luck in its travels with my brother. I already drilled him about treating it properly and how I will hurt him if he is unkind to it. But now...it's just Sieglinde and me.

I finally got around to reading more of the Ookiku Furikabutte manga and I...rewatchedsomeoftheanimeagain. >.< I realized just how much I like Momokan and Shino'oka. They both work so hard for the sake of the team and I just loooove them. Momokan is REALLY good at understanding the boys and knows how to "work" them and help them, I suppose. Even Hanai's mom was impressed! It is great.


I've seen several posts on my friends list and arguments in different community posts about female characters and how a lot of people seem to dislike them and whatnot. It really made me think about how I see female characters. I suppose I, too, am guilty of that whole liking-male-characters-better-more-often-than-not thing. But I really feel that, for me, it's a SPECIFIC type of female character that I dislike. I don't know how to classify them, really.

For example, I know I LOVED Ellie in Jurassic Park but I LOATHED Sarah or whatever her name was in The Lost World (seriously, I was so upset she wasn't eaten by a dinosaur). Maybe it's characters I perceive to be particularly "reckless" or something. I don't know. Maybe if I list female characters I like and ones I dislike I'll see a pattern...

Ok, I'm sure neither of those lists are complete but, DANG! That's WAY more than I expected! Or maybe I just blocked the ones I dislike. Ahahaha... Actually, I think most of the female characters I dislike come from random movies I watch. And I'm not really into any of the popular fandoms anymore, so it's not like I KNOW the characters... I can't hate or like Nia or Orihime from whatever shows they are from. Also, I don't think I often actively dislike characters...? If I dislike them I just don't pay attention to them, I suppose. The ones on the "dislike" list are the ones I disliked SO much that I just went "UGH" if I heard their names.

So...why do I dislike the ones I dislike? Well, I know Tifa bugs me particularly because she was all ignoring Cloud until he said he was going to join SOLDIER and then she was like, "Come save me once, ok?" or something. And she just...irritated me, for some reason. It's funny because I feel like I usually dislike the Aerith type and like the Tifa type better. Maybe it's also because I can never understand her choice of clothing.

As for Rinoa, it is just great dislike, pure and simple. From the moment I met her in the game I hated her and I continued to do so until the very end. It's not just because of Squall or anything, either. Her whole personality and the way she goes about doing stuff irritates me sooo much.

Franziska von Karma... It just irritated me how the judge just let her get away with WHIPPING everyone. She should be arrested for assault. Didn't she whip Phoenix into unconsciousness once, too? I know a lot of people found her endless whipping and foolish foolishery talk extremely awesome, and they are welcome to find it as awesome as they want. As for me, I didn't like her at all and it only got a bit better during the last case. Maybe in a couple of years I'll like her a bit more.

Dahlia Hawthorne...she was a bad egg, y'all. And she tried to kill Phoenix.

Angie and I were never friends. She seemed really arrogant and impatient from the moment I met her, and I really disliked that. Then she was practically telling me I sucked to my face. Isn't she...MY assistant? What is WRONG with you, Angie!? Later, she acknowledged I was good but she still got on my nerves. I don't like you, Angie. NOT AT ALL.

Miaka. Oh, Miaka. You and I have had a turbulent relationship all these years. I was actually ok with Miaka at the very beginning, like...during the first episode. ^_^; But I remember that when she started feeling up Hotohori, I got all irritated like, "GIRL, WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM!? Even if he HAD been a woman, you don't feel people up like that!" And it just went downhill from there. Her endless "TAMAHOME~!"ing irritated me and I remember rolling my eyes so hard when she was all, "Oh, Tamahome, we can't be together because I have to be a virgin to summon Suzaku." Well, then. Don't...sleep with each other, is all. A little self control? I don't know, maybe there's parts I'm not remembering. I'm sure I was supposed to think she was adorable. Well, I liked her hair and her uniform, at least. Her name is cool too.

Miss Relena Peacecraft! How many years has it been since we last saw each other? Ok, I barely understood the political stuff in Gundam Wing and it HAS been a while, but I still remember my dislike clear as day. Actually, it was more...weirdedoutness. Like, "WHAT are you doing!? WHAT are you talking about!? And WHY do people want to make you queen of the world!?" And I did NOT get it. Everyone always complimenting her and stuff. She was...a weirdo. And I did not understand her relationship with Heero at all, either. Like, if he really ever fell in love with her...I would not get it. They had no chemistry, in my eyes. It felt kind of forced to me.

You know, I actually liked Shigeru at first. In fact, I think I did like her in the anime. But when she started getting all creepy, psycho clingy in the drama I really disliked her, and I never got back from that, I guess.

I have blocked Umi from my mind. That is how much I disliked her. I was totally with Rui on that!

UGH AUGH SARAH! >.< Ok, first she goes off on her own, which made me mad. Then she gets a phone call and the one guy goes to answer it and she's like, "No no, don't answer the phone during this critical and important time despite the fact that it's probably something important! Help me with this over here!" She was just UGH!

My dislike for Jean Grey...has been there for so long that now I barely remember how it started. I tried to like her during the movies and it was working until the third one. No hope for you, Jean Grey!

So there you have it! I think it's true a lot of people dislike female characters because they interfere with the pairings they like or something. But...I like to think I dislike the female characters I dislike because I just...don't like THEM. Their personalities and stuff. That's ok, right? ^_^;
