My first jrock yaoi. And surprisingly these two were easier to write than I thought they'd be. But please be patient with the relationship. I like taking things at a realistic pace ^^;

(Chapter One)

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Ruki groaned, raking a hand through his hair. The paper was blank, the pencil untouched. He stared absently at the wall, the dull buzz of silence arresting his creative ability. Nothing came to mind; not the faintest murmur of an idea.

Kai expected him to come up with the basis of a new song by the end of the evening. It was always their style. Ruki would outline the first idea that came to him, then the band would mould it into the theme of their album.

He had no inspiration. He squeezed his hands together, grunting in impatience. Ruki could hear muffled voices and guitars in the room next to him, occasional laughs reminding him with a pang that he’d made no progress.

Suddenly the door burst open. Uruha strode through, grinning widely. Ruki stood up, shamefully brushing away his blank paper. The taller man was carrying a guitar, and rested it against the wall as he looked over to Ruki.

“Uru-chan,” Ruki started. He faltered, unsure of what to say. Uruha had been practicing with Aoi in the other room, no doubt enjoying himself. Ruki didn't want to mention anything of his lack of progress.

“Ruki-kun, are we too loud?" Uruha asked worriedly, his smile still gently spread across his face.

Ruki shook his head. "No...you're fine."

Uruha bit back his laughter. "You think so, do you?"

It took Ruki a moment to register what the guitarist meant. He narrowed his eyes at Uruha, who stood in front of the door, his soft smile transformed into something suspicious. "Yes Uru-chan, very sexy," Ruki said sarcastically, turning away from the guitarist. His face was heating up! WHY?

He heard Uruha giggle. "Aoi thinks we're secretly fucking each other."

Ruki spluttered. "What?! Dumbass."

"He's trying to convince Kai and Reita too." Uruha appeared at Ruki's shoulder, leaning over him to peek at the empty paper of ideas. Uruha reached over his shoulder to snatch it from a frantic Ruki, but the vocalist crumpled it up and pushed his back against Uruha's chest to prevent his long arms from grabbing the paper.

Uruha chuckled, and grabbed Ruki's wrist. The vocalist tried to wrench away, but Uruha was too strong. The guitarist pried the paper from Ruki's hands, all the while the shorter man protested with a series of grunts and groans.

Uruha broke away from Ruki once he had the paper in his hands. Ruki watched Uruha as he opened the battered paper, trying to predict his reaction. If he was annoyed, would the rest of the band be as well?

Uruha's face fell. "Ruki-kun, I'm sorry we've been too noisy for you to concentrate!"

Ruki frowned. "It's not your fault Uruha. I just...can't think of anything. I'm feeling distracted. Not by you!" He hastily added when he saw the guitarist open his mouth to apologize again.

Uruha looked down. Ruki knew he was still blaming himself for distracting him, but Ruki knew that no matter how many times he reassured him, it would be difficult to change Uruha's mind.

Ruki heaved a sigh, and then went back to the desk he had been sitting at. Uruha stood awkwardly in the doorway, still gazing down at his feet.

"You should probably go," Ruki said softly, a fragment of regret floating into his voice. Uruha turned to go, but suddenly he stopped. He picked up the guitar he had brought in, and offered it to Ruki. It reminded him of yesterday when the guitarist had challenged him to the playoff.

"I don't think now is the right time for that Uru-chan..." Ruki broke off. "Kai is not going to be happy I haven't gotten anything done."

Uruha shook his head. "Don't worry, I'll leave in a second." He walked up to Ruki, motioning for him to stand up. Ruki stood, uncertain, and allowed Uruha to strap the guitar over his shoulder.

"I want you to have that," Uruha said resolutely, silently appraising the way Ruki looked with the instrument. "It's one of my older guitars. I noticed how much you liked playing mine yesterday, so I figured you could have this one if I'm not going to be using it. Maybe it can bring inspiration to you." Uruha winked.

Ruki cleared his throat. "Uhh...thank you Uru-chan, but you don't have to do this..."

Uruha laughed. "No, but I want to. There's a difference between what you have to do and what you want to do, Ruki-kun. You know that."

Uruha started towards the door; Ruki felt like saying something to stop him, but there was no reason to further prolong his distractions. Ruki leaned over the guitar and struck the first note that came to his mind. The guitar shrieked in response, causing Ruki to throw his head back with a yell.

He saw Uruha's body flinch at the sound, who was just opening the door to leave. He turned around, grimacing, and sent Ruki a sheepish look.

"I'm sorry Ruki-kun! I forgot to tune it. I haven't played it in years!" He rushed over to Ruki, who was still gritting his teeth against the shrill ringing in his head.

Ruki felt Uruha touch his head. He felt him wrap an arm around his shoulder apologetically. He felt him close.

"Sorry," he murmured again, ashamed and embarrassed. Ruki wished he would stop apologizing; he took things too personal.

"Don't worry," Ruki replied softly. Talking above a whisper seemed like a plead for a headache.

The guitarist was standing behind him, his breath tickling Ruki's neck.

Uruha started rubbing the back of his head, his fingers lacing through Ruki's hair. The guitarist squeezed his shoulder in a brief hug, and then moved his hand down to the guitar. With his other hand still massaging Ruki's scalp, he started fussing over the strings on the instrument.

The pain in his head was fading with each movement of Uruha's hand. At first he stroked Ruki's hair softly, but as he got lost in mending the sound of the guitar with his other hand, Uruha's massage grew vigorous.

It felt nice. Ruki leaned his head back into Uruha's touch, the stimulating sensation seizing his body. He felt something build up in his throat, and unconsciously let out a low moan.

Uruha didn't stop his sensual assualt on Ruki's head, nor did he seem to notice how much Ruki was enjoying it. Ruki didn't even notice how much he was enjoying it.

"Caught in the act!" Aoi's voice interrupted the comforting spectrum Uruha and Ruki had been caught up in. Ruki's mind had been clear and active for the few minutes that Uruha had been massaging him. It had felt like an explosion of vibrant colors had splashed across his vision, feelings of regret washed away by Uruha's hand.

Ruki felt a jolt of surprise at the sudden sound of Aoi's voice, and instinctively jumped away from Uruha. The guitarist moved away slowly, watching Aoi carefully.

Ruki's face was flaming hot. What had he been doing? Nothing to get worked up over. Uruha was helping him tune the guitar. He was trying to soothe Ruki's headache. With their bodies pressed together. And...Ruki had moaned?

The vocalist felt disgusted with himself. The slightest touch, and from his bandmember nonetheless, and he had lost control to the desire of his body.

But there should be no desire regarding Uruha. None. Not at all. Uruha's intentions had been innocent. Ruki's thoughts had been pure too, until Aoi walked in on them...

Aoi smirked. "I knew Uruha was seme."

Ruki, aghast, stared at Aoi. "Sick bastard, what do you want?"

"Nothing of this," he waved his hands around to indicate the comprimising position he'd found Uruha and Ruki in.

Kai and Reita appeared behind Aoi, peering curiously into the room.

"What's up?" Kai asked.

"I just walked in on proof that Uru-chan and Ruki-san are fuck buddies," Aoi announced proudly.

Reita snickered as Ruki swore viciously under his breath. Uruha bit back a grin.

Kai, grinning, gazed at Ruki. "Do you have anything for us to work with?"

Ruki sighed, gripping Uruha's old guitar tightly. "I don't have any ideas yet."

"It's my fault though," Uruha spoke up. He caught Ruki's eye. "I was...distracting him."

Aoi burst into laughter, and Reita turned away to hide his own mirth. Kai raised an eyebrow.

"I'm sorry," Ruki continued. "I'll have something ready by the morning."

"I am also sorry in return Ruki-sama. I don't mean to pressure or rush you. But Manager-san has scheduled us to leave in a week, and he says we need at least one new song by then," Kai explained.

Ruki nodded.

"I wonder why he's rushing this," Uruha mused outloud.

"I asked him about that, but he just got angry with me," Reita said, shrugging.

"And I wonder why Kai always takes Reita to the meetings with him," Aoi remarked, randomly changing the subject.

Reita rolled his eyes. "Stop trying to pair everyone off."

"You spend a lot of time with Kai," Aoi continued.

"You do too," Reita argued. "You go shopping with him all the time."

Aoi glared at Reita. He didn't reply, but it was clear he was annoyed with Reita's response.

Kai rolled his eyes. "Okay, let's meet back here tomorrow after lunch. Then we can start adding to Ruki's ideas." He wiggled his eyebrows at Ruki before leaving. Aoi followed Kai, talking to him in a low voice.

Reita sent Ruki and Uruha one last glance, as if thinking of something at the last minute. "Aoi isn't going to let this go."

He left, laughing quietly.

Ruki let out a sigh of relief. He still had time to come up with an idea.

Uruha started to leave, but he glanced back at Ruki. "Ruki-kun, good luck."

Ruki smiled. "Thanks Uru-chan."
