This morning on NPR, they were yet again explaining how the financial crisis had come to pass, and they were using analogies.

Little springtime wandered into the room and said, "Have you noticed how many times they explain this to us? Always with a different analogy:

'It's like you have a frying pan with two eggs in it, but then...'

'It's as if you bought a puppy, but you told everyone it was a greyhound, and they...'

'Suppose you were to bake a cake, only when you added the flour, you actually...'

'It would be like if you were juggling, and you...'"

Yeah, juggling cake-eating puppies that didn't count the eggs in the frying pan .... or something.

Anyone care to add an analogy?
