It's been a while and a lot of shit has gone down. How do I even start...
I guess SMP was the first major thing that happened since my last post. It went quite smoothly, and though I was kind of pissed at Lachance because he kept making these, "What the hell are you talking about?" faces at me while I spoke, which made me nervous and caused me to ramble, I recently found out he have me a flat 100% on the damn thing.
Then... I got sick. School ended, but graduation hadn't come, so we were stuck in this weird limbo while the underclassmen and slackers took exams. I spent most of that time sitting on the couch/in bed watching trash TV, as I couldn't focus on anything or move. I developed an addiction to "That 70s Show" and watched way too much Judge Judy (she's so BA).
Moving quickly here... graduation. It was as we were walking down the hill toward the field when I realized that this was one of those things I usually watch from a distance and mock incessantly. A bunch of creepers in identical robes and stupid DF hats slowly migrating through a crowd? Bizarre. And I was, for once, a part of it. It was very unsettling. I also grew very claustrophobic from all the masses of people and the ominous rainclouds stressed me out. All in all, the ceremony was so not worth it. I should've just saved the cash for Sri Lanka, like Annahl.
Afterward, we piled into Alex's van and made the holy pilgrimage to Twin Co. We were starving; I hadn't eaten all day in preparation for the delicious 24-hr diner fare. I felt like I feasted, although I really ate were a pancake and a half, a Creamsicle float, and about 5 sweet potato fries. We played Apples to Apples and I wheedled, hoodwinked, and puppy-dog-faced my way into 8 green cards-- which never happens! After about half of us left, bound for home, those who were left walked down the street to Ashleigh's and chilled around the fire for a while-- until about 1:30 AM, actually. When we got back to Avon, Panch and Kel and I didn't feel like going home so we sat in the tunnel on the Playground of Lies until 3:30 or so, reminiscing and chilling. Kel started to freak everyone out by jumping and gasping every time the smallest noise was heard, shouting, "Who was that? Who's out there?" even though it was just the wind, and it grew pretty cold, so we went home.
Today we Batman-ed it up. I fucking love Batman, even if he does get the shit kicked out of him in every movie. He really has yet to prove himself, but he has a sweet ride, an 8-pack, and a mansion rivaling that of the Beast. That's fine with me. After and abundance of evil penguins, bad Mr. Freeze puns, and that mofucking wench Batgirl, we quit the Batman. The marathon will continue another day.
And I got my computer!!! I'm writing this entry on my brand spanking new Macbook Pro... it's shiny and pretty and I'm already used to the keyboard. I'm so excited to experiment with it that it's past 2 AM and I'm still wide awake. Maybe I'll even watch one more episode of "That 70s Show" before bed. :)
