Gilly picked these, so here's my riveting commentary:


1) Bread Porn


Heh. Back in early 2005 someone posted a yaoi-style fanfic to 852 Prospect, in which Blair was feminised to the hilt. In the story, Jim referred to Blair as 'little doe', which was the subject of some hilarity in my journal, since a doe, of course, is a female deer and, despite Blair in the story dressing like a girl at one point, he was technically supposed to be male. Anyway! Puns around the word doe/dough commenced and, as I recall, it was mostly the luscious timian's fault (though there was hilarious input from others too). We had a bit of a round robin in the comments, full of hot baked bread and puns about rising to the occasion. It was loads of fun, and I couldn't resist making an icon to commemorate it *g*.

It's taken me ages to find it, but the best comments were in this thread. OMG hot spelt ::diez again::


2) Fluterbev Coven


This was taken at fingers' house, when a bunch of us got together for a weekend. I'd just had my face painted here by moonglow11066 (or was it sunglow66? Crikey, my memory is shot!). Everyone got their face painted by one or other of the twins, in fact. It was like a kids party, only with booze and squee ;-). which brings us on to...


3) Sockpuppet Coven


This was taken the same weekend. It was a really great get-together, especially as some of us met each other there for the very first time. One such newcomer was the lovely luicat. As I recall, I helped her set up her journal that weekend, and we've been really close pals ever since. The glowing twinnies, who painted all our faces, were such a delight to meet after knowing them online. Others there included jimandblair, rhianne, dusty_star and, of course, fingers. I ♥ them all! ::hugs the rest of the coven::

We got onto the subject of sockpuppets at one point, since there was someone around in TS at that time who had a tendency to have conversations with her sock in her LJ, and we decided to make some of our own for a laugh. Fingers got out a load of white socks, and socking-up commenced. In the icon, there are exactly 13 of us - the eight of us, plus our socks - and we called ourselves the Sockpuppet Coven for ages afterwards :-).


4) Evil Pastede On


Hee! Ever since I posted my first ever WIP in my journal, Revolution, my flist have called me every variation of 'evil' over and over, due to my tendency to write cliffhangers. I made this icon way back then, having recently discovered the fun that is Fandom Wank, and being taken by the catchphrase my hed is pastede on yay. I'm sure everyone knows what that means but, just in case you don't, I'll explain. It refers to a bad photo-manip, in which someones head is pasted on to a body in such a way that it looks quite ridiculously fake.

So! I found a cute angel picture, and pastede on my fake evil, yay, ensuring as I did so that it was rather crappily done. However, looking back at it I can see that I was a total noob who got the spelling wrong: 'is' should have been 'iz'. Me rubbish at this wank stuff ::sighs innocently:: ;-). Anyway, I think my icon was a sort of statement that said, "I revel in my evilness, but it's all an act really."
