Tonight I’ve dealt with a serious conversation about not happy things and now I’m writing in my paper journal for the first time in a month and writing about a not so happy incident. It’s kind of gotten me down and now I just want to hang out with people and smile. Luckily, my friend Jeff called and we “talked” for almost two hours (he was playing video games for a good part of it and then I started to play one as well so it was a lot of just random comments on our respective games). We now have plans for lunch tomorrow, which is happy. Not sure when exactly but he’s going to call me when he wakes up. He’s even going to give me gas money (well, I’m also driving him to work, so there is that). It shall hopefully be a good day.

I have all the boxes I want in my room and the rest in storage, along with a lot of empty ones in my trunk. I still have to set up Avalon, clean out the cabinet in the bathroom, and clear more space in my dresser for clothing (starting with taking a photo of all the alcohol bottles I’ve collected over the years, then recycling all but one of each kind). Oh, this is along with finishing my 102C paper (need to read the book, then write the paper) before I go to Irvine. Hopefully I’ll finish my thesis while in Santa Barbara with Mike, all this while I’m looking for a job. I can’t take the CBEST till the end of this month so I can’t count on a substitute teacher job till November, but even if I have a part time job already, I can just say I can work my off days as a sub (hopefully?). Jeff suggests applying for Game Stop for holiday work, since when it comes to retail, I’d probably work best in a video game store (I concur). I’m making a list of places I can apply to and I’m hopefully going to slowly but surely check them off as I get the apps done and the resumes sent out. The sooner I get a job, the sooner I get my own apartment, which will hopefully be a studio apartment because I don’t need a bedroom separate from my living space since when it’s only me, they are the same space.

Need to return to my paper journal. I hope that having things settle down and my major things to do list shorten, I will do better at regularly writing in it and updating here. Hopefully.
