<lj user="foreshock"> is a <i>Final Fantasy VII</i> roleplay set in Midgar approximately seven years before the beginning of the original canon game. Pretty much whatever goes in regards to in-game events, as we're only loosely based on canon timeline and no one's going to nazi if things get a little mixed up (as long as it's within reason). Mostly the point was to start an old-fashioned FFVII RP <s>Am I the only one a bit tired of the 80 billion AU multi-fandoms out there?</s> to explore the earlier events of the series from different points of view. So...yeah.

<font size="2"><b>✘//Character Reserves</b></font>
Sorry, but there are no character reserves. Why? Because this is not necessarily a first-come, first-serve game. Here at Foreshock, we kick it old-school so if several people apply for the same character at the same time, we'll pick who we think portrays the character best.

<font size="2"><b>✘//Emails</b></font>
Ala <i>Crisis Core</i>, there will be an in-game email system set up by the mods. It is <em>extremely important</em> that you regularly check your "inbox", aka the email journal for important announcements, plot prompts, memos, or group event invitations that your character will receive from the NPCs.

Occasionally, you may also receive a PRIVATE MESSAGE via your LJ inbox that is a prompt for your character's eyes alone, so please make sure you log in and check your journal messages often!

When responding to emails or private messages, remember to respond in-character.

<font size="2"><b>✘//Punishments</b></font>
As stated in the rules, we expect you to post something at least once every two weeks (per character). However, if you fail to post WEEKLY, your character will receive a "punishment" posted in the main community on Friday. Punishments will be a prompt (usually in the form of a dilemma) that you can use as something to log or post about if you're a bit lacking in the idea department. It is entirely up to you whether you use or ignore your punishment, as they are not mandatory.

<font size="2"><b>✘//Posting + Commenting</b></font>
First-person or journal-style posts go to your PERSONAL JOURNAL. Make sure you keep your friends list up to date so that you can read everyone's entries! You may also make posts to <lj-user="foreshock"> in the form of first-person memos or "emails", but if you do so please tag your entry with your character's name.

Commenting on others' journals/memos is always allowed unless there are indications that these posts are protected for certain users, for example [filtered to Zack only], then comments made by other characters are prohibited (but should always still be visible to everyone).

All third-person logs or drabbles written about your character go to <lj user="foreshock_logs">. Remember, the body of the log should ALWAYS be beneath an LJ-cut and the characters involved should be listed in the title. For example: "RP log: Reno, Rude".
RP logs, especially big event/group logs, are required to have short summaries for them. This is for FYI purposes, some people do not have the time to read entire logs that don't involve their characters.
